We had a busy week with Melikar leading a successful Ulduar raid on Tuesday evening, all the way through Yogg Saron! Well done Melikar! Guildmembers and officers often run open events on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. If you want to run a particular dungeon, please join us on a Tuesday and put your vote in for where the group goes, or step forward to run an event yourself!

Thursday we ran 10-man Dragon Soul again, killing heroic Morchok and trying heroic Zon'Ozz again, then running through to the end, where we got another piece of the Chromatic Champion achievement by starting on Deathwing's fourth platform. Just one more platform to go! We also tried the ship achievement again but as before missed just ONE of the pink swirlies. We're *this* close to getting the achievement -- we'll try again next week!

Next week we will run the 10-man Dragon Soul raid on Thursday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m., where we will try for the ship achievement again and will get the last platform for Chromatic Champion!

Mists of Pandaria is coming up! I'm excited about the new content, Pandaren, new quests and zones, the new talent trees, and the new game mechanics! I'm looking forward to the new ways to play together, too:

* Challenge Modes: 5-man dungeons will have a "challenge mode" in which your gear is *normalized,* meaning that you will be put into gear that is appropriate for the instance, so that nobody will be over- or under-geared for the instance. Everyone will start the same. Then you do timed runs through the instance, skill against skill alone. I expect Ironsong to win many medals!

* Scenarios: These are instanced adventures designed for *three* players of any class. No group balancing, no tank-healer-DPS thing, just grab two people and head in. There are lots of possibilities here!

* Three LFR raids! There will be a LOT to do here for us as a guild. I foresee one and perhaps two evenings a week of running the new LFR dungeons with as many players of whatever classes what to come.

Hi everybody - Blizzard is reporting a serious breach of their internal security, which led to the theft of their internal password database.

Aside from actually getting hacked, they run a tight ship, which means that the password database is encrypted. But since the hackers stole the entire database, they can, with time, decrypt the original passwords out of the database.

What this means is that you should assume that your email address, and the password you used for WoW, are in the hands of criminals. Change your WoW password right away, and if you use the same password anywhere else, change it there too.

Welcome back Umu, Noodlemortis, and Eonia!

Shantow led the guild through some successful old-world raiding last Thursday, August 2, clearing the Sunwell and Mount Hyjal!

On Tuesday, August 7, we attacked Dragon Soul again. We smoothly killed Heroic Morchok, and tried a new strategy against Heroic Zon'Ozz which looks like it has some good potential. On the ship we got within ONE little pink swirly of the achievement again this week. We're THIS close to getting it! We'll try again next week.

Next Tuesday, August 14, at 7:30, Melikar will lead a classic raid into Ulduar at 7:30 p.m. Join us!

Next Thursday, August 16, at 7:30 we will venture into Dragon Soul again, to shake down Heroic Morchok and try Heroic Zon'Ozz once more.

Congratulations to Sevdrith for his promotion to Champion of Ironsong! Sevdrith is generous with his time, friendly, respectful, positive and fun He embodies what Ironsong stands for. Congratulations, Sevdrith!

Welcome to Ironsong, Strages! Strages is a valiant priest who has fought courageously with us for more battles than I can count, and has decided to make Ironsong his home. Welcome!

On Tuesday of this week we attacked Naxxramas and got every achievement available. Then we headed over to Malygos where we finished up more achievements, getting even our healers onto those little flying disks for the Scion achievement.

On Thursday we assaulted 10-man Dragon Soul and had a smooth, flawless kill of Heroic Morchok. Then we descended into the maw to attack Heroic Zon'Ozz. We had several constructive attempts before killing him on normal and blasting through to Blackhorn, after which we retired for the night.

Shantow will be organizing next week's Dragon Soul raid on Thursday, August 2 at 7:30, as Zlinka and Oryx will be out of town next week.

The following week we will attack 10-man Dragon Soul again on TUESDAY, August 7 at 7:30 p.m. due to multiple absences on Thursday. We will kill Heroic Morchok then will go after Heroic Zon'Ozz!
