According to my "back of an envelope" calculations Tuesday (a rare raid day for me), we were almost at an average DPS of 6500 overall for DPS players.
Which is very, very close to that Festergut 7200, and probably would hit that if we were all able to stand and damage like we can in that fight.

Keep working that gear, those tactics, those wonderful numbers! Class forums love your input (They *crave* it, those obsessed, deranged addicted forums!)

Axulia Wrote:On Festergut, couldn't the healers (who really shouldn't need to face the boss or worry about things like hitting the boss with anything, unless you're a paladin judging him for the haste buff and judgement debuff) just stand directly under the boss, where it's advised that you move to if the tank gets a spore?

EDIT: I was also under the impression that this is where the melee spore stood, to make sure the tank got the debuff, too.

Less movement = more healing, yeah?

So long as we don't get comfy and forget about moving if we get a spore, this could ease up healing by a fraction.

Sorry my first suggestion isn't anything monumental, but I feel that if anything that MIGHT help comes to mind, no matter how little, it should be brought up to see if it's worth trying. D:

This is absolutely correct. If possible, all healers should stand stacked under Fester. The only issues are keeping the proper number of people at range, as Noodle said, and when two or three spores pop in melee (which is more likely the more people we have standing there) and a healer has to run out. Or if a healer in the center cannot reach everyone in the ranged group, they may need to stay out. We've been doing this, as far as I know.

And again correct, the melee spore should move up under his legs to make sure the tanks get the debuff. That doesn't work as a permanent position for melee dps, since our highest dps comes from the back side and the exact location can be a little tricky. But healers in this group can probably just stand in the proper area the whole time unless they need to see everyone (which they may in order to figure out where all the spores are).

Everyone in the melee stack, including the tanks, should be at minimum range from Festergut. Bite his kneecaps. Smaller stack = less movement to get everyone in the debuff cloud, and less movement to get a duplicate spore out of range.

YAY! I helped!

Although my input so far, has only been with info from the friday fester attempts, so I'm not sure if you were already implimenting the idea for tuesday... @-@

But, my finals are done, and I can help out then now, too!

I suspect there's been a healadin on tuesdays already, and with two of us, it might be prudent to try the green dragon bossfight, with both of us beaconing a tank and going full-bore into healing the boss.

If we could holy light spam with the help of a couple druid innervates, it could cut the difficulty of the fight down by a lot. But, I say this with only passing knowledge of the fight gained by reading wowhead strategies... *goes to watch the tankspot vids to see if he comes up with anything else*

EDIT: We almost downed Rotface! We must be doing SOMETHING right! Big Grin
