New 25-man Naxx setup.

Well, by thte look of the votes, it'll be starting next Saturday. (It wasn't going to start this upcoming monday (June 1st) regardless of the voting anyway)

So, depending on what the votes look like Friday, it'll either be Saturdays (Starting the 6th) or Mondays (starting the 8th)

And don't worry, Kret. We can at least TRY to keep a spot open for you, regardless of what day it is... XD

Now... if only I knew how to set up one of those raid calendar things...
Mneh, I'll ask someone over the week.

Please post a schedule here and I will add it to the news page.
I'm not clear if its Mon and sat or just sat and what are the times?

Thanks

Well, it's currently seven votes for Saturday against four for Monday, so unless that changes, it'll be a saturday raid.

And, since the only people to state a time that'd be better for them (As far as I can see) Are you (Dispaya) and Kretol, at a little later than the average time of 6-ish. So it may very well start sometime closer to 8 or 9. I've got no problem with using monday as a cleanup day, or even going into sunday morning to finish it. XD

Since no one showed up saturday, (I don't think I got ten people from ironsong) This event defaults to monday.

Heya...
Maybe there was confusion on the times. I actually didnt know you were starting this saturday.
Sometimes you have to give things a chance to gel. One suggestion is to make a definite time and stick to it so players know what to plan on. I think Saturday evenings have always been a challenge since people have families and commitments andf alot of members already play the friday raids so that may be a bit much. You might want to try the early saturday time slot as you might get a different farm of players who cant make the fri or sat night times. I think its a good idea to try mondays also and see where the interest lies. Anyway...just a suggestion.

I know I will try to make it but I have also been trying to make Don's raids and my schedule has not been working out. Give it some time and stick to the plan.

good luck

Also if its remotely possible to go ahead with the raid you should. In the early days of my 10 mans I'd frequently have 3-4 guildies and have to PUG a bunch of spots, but then I got some PUG regulars that we liked an gradually more guild regulars. Also There is only one 10 man going at the moment so if you don't have enough to do 25 its not unlikely some may like to do the 10 man. That way you establish the time of the raid and reward the players that do show up.

Three to four guildies might be fine for a ten-man, but I sat there for an hour trying to find twenty people to fill the rest of the slots. We wound up with about twenty before some started dropping group and it fell apart.

I wouldn't mind changing the time, but no one seems to care enough to give me a time that works best for them. I could make another poll, but that seems like I'm overcomplicating things... I doubt I'd get anything difinitive anyway.

And like it's been said; Saturday IS often spent with friends or family. I hadn't thought of this, as I don't have many of either, and I apologize for it.

Monday would probably be better. I'll try for six at first, and if that doesn't work, I'll take suggestions for better times from those who do show up.

((To reiterate; Invites go out at 6PM server time, aiming at a 6:30 start time. If too few people show up, as Donalzon suggested, we'll do something else depending on who's saved to what. Hopefully, after a few weeks, it'll get to the point where more people will show, and we can actually start on 25-man. Who knows; there may be more people online to form into a pug on Mondays...))

I know how discouraging it can be to try and form up a raid and no one seems to want to participate.

I already raid Ulduar twice a week and I work on weekends giving me not much time for else. I would help out on Kardwel if I was around, but with school, finals, work and what I already do in game, it's kinda hard to get there.

So today we had almost enough people for 2 10 man naxx runs and I didn't have the tanks to do 2 so we went for a 25 man. Perhaps instead of starting a new raid you would like to take on stewardship of the Sunday raid which has been growing and do the 25 man that way? I would be able to reliably tank for it that way also.

*ponders* Perhaps that would be best... But I can't just say I'm going to do something, and then just cancel it. I'm going to try for monday regardless.

Though, now that I think about it, I might have classes monday in a few weeks... (I didn't know it when I set up the schedule)

So, actually, taking over a time on sunday would be better, but what happens to your 10-man?

((EDIT))

Griknor suggested that, since Donalzon ran 25-man this week, I could do 10-man on monday if not enough people show up for 25. It actually sounds like a good idea, and I'll keep it in mind.

Then again, I could forgo the plans of 25-man altogether and run a 10-man.
So much to think about...

*sigh* Okay, I wasn't here on time, but that's because I was getting signed up for college classes and wound up waiting the first half hour, which threw off my times.

On another note; as of the start of summer term, I'll be going to classes on mondays, wednesdays, and thursdays, which throws off the initial plans to have this be on monday.

I honestly think, at this rate, having me help manage (Or manage altogether) the aformentioned sunday raid would be best.

...which renders the whole of this thread moot. *Headdesk*

At any rate, I'll discuss this further with Donalzon, and get back to everyone. Possibly in a new thread altogether.
