Tonight, the group split ways having enough to do not one, but TWO different dungeons! While Lurie jumped on his Death Knight in the hopes of tanking the Oculus and finding some new upgrades, I lead an excursion into the daily: Heroic Hall of Lightening.

We only had a few problems in HoL, but the run was overall a success! Krelldor managed to sneak away (no pun intended) with a new pair of leather boots while Rieux helped DE the items we did not need. Lokan proved to be a big challenge, but with the help of Rieux, Axulia was able to keep the heals going. With Krelldor and Siame DPSing, we were able to down him rather quickly. Axulia and I both walked away with Timely Death achievements and I also got a few Sons of Hodir quests out of the way as did Krelldor.

Lokan dropped some cloth items that ended up getting DE'd, but we still managed to do it! Good work everyone! See you tomorrow!

Meanwhile, in Oculus, we had a rather large level disadvantage. My Death Knight, Nomekaer, has finally hit 80, and reached the defense cap! With Skrap's priest, Comfort (level 78) healing, and Lhuurssa (Level 79) helping to the best of her ability with the DPS, we had a level 75 Priest named Annelii and a level 76 Warlock named Enhydra in our ranks!

With the DPS low, but the morals high, we pressed on. After two sketchy pulls, our group proved overly capable and competent! Using strategy, clever crowd control, and focus fire on the correct mobs, we cleared all the way to the second boss with no wipes! Varos proved a little tricky, but after 3 fatal attempts, we finished him.

Our glorious victory came soon-after. We ran the entire rest of the Instance with only 2 deaths and no wipes! Urom tried his best, but after we finished him off, we utterly destroyed the Ley-Guardian Eregos in one fell swoop. Lhuurssa got a new Axe and Shoulders, and Annelii got a new necklace and stave! Impressive run everyone!

(Crowd Control Usage: Ice Trap, Fear, Kiting, as well as Banish and Scare Beast! Quick thinking Enhydra and Lhuurssa!)

Nemascythe (71) Rogue - dps
Cannibalista (74) Death Knight - Tank or dps
Wytch (80) Paladin - Heals or dps (maybe tankage)

Hey everyone!
I usually run my characters straight up the charts without hitting a dungeon, so needless to say they could all use some on-hand experience in an instance setting. My main is available also should you need her, Aeromeena (80) Hunter -dps. I'm fairly well versed, in a ranged dps point-of-view, with Northrend instances. So any alts I bring would be there mainly for the learning experience and gear upgrades.

I'd really like to get some practice healing on the pally or even perhaps tanking. I will more than likely be dual speccing her Holy/Prot and be building them a dps set to boot to use for soloing. It's been over 2 years now since I healed on a pally...so be prepared to see some superb Tom-noobery!

I've tanked A instance on my DK and it seemed to go well, however, more experience would be great. The poor Rogue has yet to see the inside of a Northrend instance due to a falling out of interest in her.

Any advice about technique or what stats I am or should be using is greatly appreciated and welcome. I should be available Mon and Thurs after 12 server time or whenever my raiding ends that night (could be earlier or later). Fridays I sometimes volunteer to help out a 10 man Naxx, but I should be done by 11 or 12 server. I'm on late most nights so any other days that I'm not already a'rading something I'd be happy to help out. I'll try to make sure I'm in the channel in game if I'm available. Hope to see some of you soon for lotsa fun!

Tonight we had a lot of lower levels, so some simpler runs were in order. Lhuurssa, Annelii, Enhydra, and Lucinther (Bout time!) joined my tank, Nomekaer, in two instances. Violet Hold gave us a Voidwalker and a Water Revenant to combat, but proved utterly boring, because it was too easy! Draktharon Keep was next, and it was in here that, though also silly easy, we found two upgrades, a necklace for our healer, Annelii, and a helmet for Lucinther. As soon as Lucinther levels, I'm sure it will get a great deal of use. ;D

After these simple runs... well, comparatively simple, since we've been running Oculus and various heroics repeatedly... Lhuurssa revealed to us that she was less than a bar from level 80! Something obviously had to be done about this, so we teamed up and wiped out her Dragonblight group quests (we got to do them too!). A newly leveled Lhuurssa cheered, shared some fireworks with Nome, and is preparing as I type to devastate her first heroic!

Enhydra also leveled (77 and Cold Weather Flying!). In addition, Annelii got some more practice healing. For someone who's really never played that role at end-game, she's not half-bad. Wink

See you all again on Monday!

Well, despite everyone starting a bit tired, the numbers being awkward, and my throat pretending to be dead, we did get some runs going about 45 minutes late.

I went into Regular Halls of Lightning with Skrap's priest, hoping for a trinket while she practiced her healing. No deaths, super easy, boring, and below our par. No trinket, but Krelldor did get a helm upgrade! Thanks to Anca and Jyaman for the extra DPS!

Kardwel took Nahr, Altynay, Lhuurssa, and Vanderbos into Nexus. As of writing this, still waiting on the result of the run... though Alty has still lived up to her title "Most Killable Mage Evah" from what I understand. Wink

As we started down the hall full of Alliance mobs, Nahr had an unfortunate DC. I think I survived only because of FD (I feel guilty using it, sometimes, I'll admit). There were a couple rough pulls, and one case of an add noticed a bit too late. We persevered and eventually completed the instance. I was fortunate enough to get a shoulder and chestpiece upgrade; the other 2 drops were sharded by Alty.

P.S.: I could tell Lurie was tired (aka punch-drunk), due to how much he and Krayus were laughing as they perpetrated some minor shenanigans on another server after all was said and done. 8-)

That DC was pretty epic. I went to go DI Vander, but he died before I could get the chance. Sad
