Thanks for all the input, didn't expect this many responses. I have never before even experimented with armor "downgrades." The only problem I forsee in this sort of stuff is looking for new gear and having to resort to rolling for stuff in dungeons, which I would hate to do as that would rob another class of potential gears generally directed more for their class.

In looking through the AH on frequent ocassions, I have yet to see anything decent, so I am assuming that I need to have my equipment specially crafted or stolen on a dungeon run. I don't want to resort entirely to cloth quite yet, so would anyone have good suggestions for gear that I should be looking for, gathering materials for, etc.? Kind of an open-ended debate, but as I have little direction to go, plus I do not have access to the sites with listings of gear at work, so I need a little direction at the moment.
