Being that this UD run seems to now include some of the folks from Discord that I (and Alissandre) changed guilds to avoid, I withdraw my participation in this run.

I am also frustrated and angered by their continued intrusion into my attempts to raid with my IST guild mates: Initially by them directly complaining about Alissandre and my participation in an IST-led run, and now by their continued involvement, now that Alissandre and I know that the raid will include hositility towards us.

Any details beyond that are not appropriate to a public forum, in my opinion, as they do not involve "game mechanics" issues, but real and serious trauma.

Sad thing is, there's not a lot we can do about it unless the people you mention do something outright in the raid that would permit a kick. It just makes me feel bad because I want everyone to be included and to have fun.

Honestly, I disagree, but be that as it may, your statement summarizes one of the main opinions we have faced that forced Alissandre to leave *this* guild in order to avoid *that* guild, if she wants to raid without unpredictably needing to leave a planned raid to avoid a traumatic situation.

When we both tried to "simply have fun" and fill open spots in an IST led raid, the Discord members in question both complained until we were effectively blocked from that raid group (including effectively denying me access to any IST raiding, since any IST folks still wanting to gain achievements, like Kingslayer and UD simply joined that run for a time).

While I can understand the position of "regulars" raiders vs. new members of a raid group, it did set the tone for avoiding further interactions.

If I cannot participate in IST activites due to non-guild members and real-life injustices done by them, then I question my own membership here. Obivously, Alissandre did as well.

Just to chime in briefly: Phoronid and I are in slight disagreement about this issue as I am undecided when it comes to "shoulds" or "should nots" in this situation. All I know is that there is trauma and I can't cope. It's really just that simple. And if trauma is following me to this guild after already causing me to leave my last guild, I'm leaving this guild too and am in fact likely leaving the server entirely to minimize the chances of this issue coming up again after another guild move. I don't want to argue about it or talk about it. I just want it to go away. Simply leaving is the best solution I can come up with to get that to happen.

I see that all the folks setting this raid up went on the UD 10 man tonight with the same Discord people we have issues with, despite all the things we talked about.

Now I have my answer.

First off I'm running with Donalzon's 10 man on Aracna....not to be confused with Jettanyx my healer for the 10 man I'm trying to run. I'm sorry Pho but if I want to run on a secondary character with other people you have no right to try and stop me.

Secondly we've just found out that if we should go through the achivements we are still rewarded a mount but it will NOT be a 310 speed mount (unless you already have it). Do we still want to go ahead and try it? (I'm still game if enough people are its still a cool looking drake).

True, you do what you like, but the point stands that now, again, a critical mass of toons/players are now locked/satiated with that ten man group.

(edit: Problem solved - I have taken Phoronid to a raiding guild, so that I can raid without conflict on my primary raiding toon with Alissandre. I will RP and group with everyone in IST on my other 5 guild toons.)

I just want to chime in to hopefully clarify. The people in question approached me concerned about your participation in the raid given past drama issues, they said they were willing to give it a go and clear the air. I explained this to you and you decided you did not want to try. They have never complained to me about you or refused to try to work with you, and they are tribemates as well and are entitled to play with us. They also happened to be established as regular raiders in my group.

As for players deciding to raid Ulduar with us I think it wasn't really a matter of picking sides so much as they had the opportunity to do it and so they took it. Most of those players are people that already raid with me for ICC. Sorry if that took people from your Ulduar run.

Just to reiterate. You are welcome to raid with me and my group, I think perhaps there was a misunderstanding, and if this needs to go any further we can do it in private.
