Initial looks showed that it may help, however there were a few crits involved that offset numbers. However, after a second test the results yeilded similar results from having Inner fire on, and Inner Fire off. Variable in this test was that weapons have a range of damage and not an absolute number that I would need to test something for a definitive answer.

Conclusion: Sadly [spell]Divine Aegis[/spell] and [spell]Inspiration[/spell] will probably not benefit from each other...however in a raid setting having both would still yield a beneficial result since Divine Aegis will be destroyed befor the duration of Inspiration finishes.

Sorry for the bad news priests Sad

Well....after digging around trying to find out why my Divine shield was absorbing over 3000 damage (which, by the way, is some insane calcutlation that I cannot even fathom at this point) I came upon a statement on WoWwiki that says:

"The amount of damage absorbed by the shield is calculated after armor is taken into account. This means the shield will last longer on targets with more armor, and benefits from Inner Fire." ( http://www.wowwiki.com/Power_Word:_Shield )

I cannot find any hard evidence, but have some degree of trust that some testing was done before making that statement. However this is what I wanted to know before taking Inspiration which I think is definately worth it now....just in case 8-)
