Surprise!

Lucinther smirked, watching as Lailya set off for her target. He was amused. He set off for his own target... taking out any of the guards that got too close. Either by throwing knives, his two large blades, or by spiked gauntlets to the face, each guard he faced dropped to the ground lifelessly, almost as fast as they came to challenge him. The tauren with the scythe would hopefully prove to be more of a challenge for the rogue.

Far up above ((and riding in to the music "Ride of the Valkyries")) Squigvicious was urging his helicopter forward, banging on a control panel here, beating out a flame there. He positioned himself directly above a group of guards. Something fell over the side. "Oops!" A moment later there was a large explosion. Several more bombs went over the side of the helicopter. The guards were dropping like flies! "A wicked grin ((one that could use a dentist)) spread across the goblin's face. He moved the craft forward to the next landing. The guards were fleeing; several jumping off the pinnacle into the water to douse flames. He tossed another bomb over the side.

But for all the guards that he managed to kill, more came to replace. "I COULD DO ZHIS ALL DAY! ZHIRTY-TWO!" He continued to toss the bombs over the side. Several arrows began whizzing past him. "Oh nutz." He realized that the ground was a little bit closer than he was hoping. He disappeared into the shadows and jumped from the plummeting aircraft.

Reaver spun the blade and jumped up onto the sacrificial altar. He looked down at his victim, and drew the blade across his skin. He let the blood drip onto her face. "Now, you are one of us, sunwalker." He spat, and spun the blade again, cutting into Lucerra's arm. "You are an abomination of the Shu'halo. Nokwa al An'she tual'ho." He spun the blade again, this time cutting into a leg. Lucerra gasped from the pain. The cut was deep and the blood flowed along the gouges in the altar draining in a stone cup at the foot of the altar. The Reaver laughed. "Your path is down there, An'she tual'ho."

The shadow priest drew forth the life draining power of the vampire and directed it at Lailya. She was already casting a second spell, her lips moving in a whisper. Shadows swirled around Lailya, and the pain in her legs began to build. The priest laughed, "Oh! But this one's too easy! You shouldn't come to battle with injuries, frail one!"

Lucinther moved onto the top of the altar effortlessly. As Reaver brough the blade down in a sharp arc for Lucerra's neck, Lucinther brought down one blade to deflect the scythe, his other blade went clean through the muscle, sliding along the bone, of Reaver's arm. He smirked up at the large black Tauren. " Why don't ya pick on someone your own size, ya coward." Lucinther dove away, twisting free the blade that was in Reaver's arm. "Besides.... Don't ya think your precious Cho'gall would like more than one sacrifice?" His smirk grew even wider... " I bet he'd like a personal sacrifice the best... but, I'd wager you are too much of a coward for that." Lucinther kept smirking.

Spotting a group of reinforcments coming across one of the bridges towards his tribmates Zaevian points at a section of the bridge signaling Sylthian to unleash a fireball there taking out several planks of the bridge as well as some of the cultists. "Take me over there and then keep the rest of them busy!" he shouted over the howling wind. As Sylthian flew over the platform Zaevian jumped off drawing his two-handed sword and cleaving a cultist guard in half as he landed. "What is with you guys always getting into all sorts of trouble when I'm not around?" A wide grin breaks across his face as he bats aside the sword of a cultist chargeing at him. "And why is it always cultists?"

Squigvicious landed directly behind a guard, and cut away a small coin purse on the guard's belt, weighing the contents in his hand then making it disappear into a pouch on his own belt. He reached into a different pouch and took out a small leather sack, and dribbled the juice on one of his blades. He grabbed a different pouch and did the same with his other blade. The guard in front of him reached for another arrow to shoot at Lailya, only to find that his quiver was empty. It was then that the blade punctured his kidney. He barely had time to realized what was going on when the second blade punctured his other kidney. A deadly voice behind him said "zhirty-zhree." The guard stood paralyzed on the spot and, for a brief moment, saw the goblin move onto the next victim disappearing into the shadows. The poison reached his heart and the world went black.

Reaver took the cut from the forsaken, he brought his arm up and licked the blood coming from the wound. "The Nokwa'naha wants to play? There's enough blood to go around. Your blood will be accepted as well, Nokwa'naha." He leaped off the alter, and slashed at the forsaken with blinding speed. The blade cut deep into his abdomen, liquid began to seep from the wound. ((I won't call it blood, probably more a formaldehyde mixture of some sort.)) The tauren whirled the blade again, this time, Lucinther managed to jump out of the way, barely managing to dodge the strike. Another strike, and Lucinther just managed to deflect it with one of his blades. The tauren continued to advance, the scythe a blur of motion in a series of deadly attacks. Several more cuts went through Lucinther's defenses. The edge of the pinnacle was coming up fast.

The fireball from the dragon seared the connecting ropes and planks of the rope bridge and the two halves separated, the guards desparately scrambling to grab hold of something as the bridge fell away. Most of them didn't make it and fell into the dark waters below. Guards from the next pinnacle let loose arrows at the dragon and its rider. Most of the arrows bounced harmlessly off the dragon's scales, but one unfortunate arrow struck the rider in the shoulder, lodging deep inbetween the rider's armor plates. ((Sorry, bad luck!))

The goblin came up on his next victim, a priest casting some sort of spell and kicked her. She cursed and turned. "What the--" The knife pierced her thigh. She shrieked and began to transform into a creature of shadow. Claws came out and swiped at the goblin, catching him in the face. Shadow surrounded the goblin and a sharp pain erupted from his scarred eye. His hand went up to his eye, trying to supress the pain. The priest had retreated in that moment of distraction, distancing herself between the two attackers. A brief light surrounded her and the knife wound on her leg closed up. She laughed.

Despite his wounds, Lucinther was still smirking as Reaver continued to advance on him. Were he able to bleed, he probably would have been drained dry from the cut in his abdomen. His heels were hanging over the edge of the pinnacle now, but his smirk didn't fade. He let the attacks come and let Reaver continue his advance. Glancing behind him, he knew the fall was at least a few hundred feet to the water. Reaver Almost had him off balance now, but still he kept his grin. Right before he fell, he vanished.

Lucinther stepped through the shadows as he had done so many times before and appeared a few feet behind Reaver. He sprinted for Reaver who still hadn't quite fully been able to React. The tauren was off balance now, the only thing stopping his momentum from his attacks was no longer there. Lucinther got even closer and dove for Reaver's back, two poisoned daggers sliding hilt deep into Reaver's organs. " hey asshole... that was my favorite armor..." The momentum from Lucinther's hit carried them both over the edge of the pinnacle, both falling hundreds of feet into the salty waters below.

Zaevian winced as he parried a blow from another cultist the arrow in his shoulder felt like red hot stones grinding in the socket. Growling he yanked the arrow out then focused on the powers of blood to heal his wound. He then spun around and sliced the arm off the cultist who had just been attacking him and kicked him over the edge of the pinnacle turning around he saw as Lucinther jumped off the cliff with a large black tuaren. "Well that was a bit stupid..." Whistling loudly he called for Sylthian. As the white drake flew by he slowed down long enough for Zaevian to grab a spike on it's neck and swing into the saddle and then dove over the edge of the cliff where Lucinther had just gone over.

((Reaver no like dat!))((No he doesn't talk like that!))((Gah! This is worse than chess!...but lots more exciting.))

Reaver lurched forward tucking and rolling in mid air. The blades slid out of his back, and roared letting the hate flow through him. A spray of blood filled the air around him, he hit the water hard, the knife wounds were already beginning to heal as twisted his body to face his attacker. ((Enraged regen, oh yeah!))

Lucinther landed in the water fifteen yards away from the tauren. The tauren charged at him, the water not seeming to slow him in the least. He began spinning, blade pointed out in a deadly whirlwind. ((Bladestooooorm!))

(( ha! that was Luc saying that! ))

Lucinther was still smirking as he saw the spinning tauren. He focussed his energy long enough to start recuperating almost instantly. He sprinted, running across the top of the water (( 'cause rogues are that awesome)). He was headed straight into the blade storm. he drew two large axes over his shoulders as he counted, " one.... two..... threee.". ON three he went into a killing spree. First he dove into the air, just barely avoiding Reaver's attack. His first axe hit solidly between Reaver's shoulder blades in a clean vertical cut, the second axe dug in just under the first, horizontally. In less than a blink of an eye, he vanished and appeared in front of Reaver. both axes digging in deep into Reaver's abdomen. He vanished again, two cuts in the ribs. Again, he disappeared again. two cuts in the other ribs. He left the axes sitcking in Reaver as he vanished once more. landing behind the Tauren. He drew two short swords from his belt.

Lailya's knees wobbled precariously. The pain in her maimed legs was excruciating, but like Hell would she let a little pain get the best of her! She straightened abruptly and swung her cane with all her might, the silver wolf's head handle slamming into another guard's face. He collapsed, choking on blood and bone, as the warlock stepped around him and advanced on the priestess with a maniacal grin.

"Frail, am I?" she hissed. "I'll show you frail." She raised one hand above her head, then quickly brought it down in a closed fist, snarling a Word.

A roiling ball of shadowflame shot from the sky and the Hand of Gul'dan slammed into the ground where the priestess stood. Lailya came up beside Squigvicious and then passed him, still advancing smoothly, sneering grin still in place as she swung her cane in a circle.

Reaver ducked under the dark waves, swimming down and hooves kicking out behind him (unwittingly stunning the hidden rogue for just a moment). He swam down, letting his plate armor to help drag him down. He removed the axes from his abdomen as he descended, tucking them away. His foot touched something and his smile widened. He grabbed the dead body in both hands, wrapping his leg around the scythe's handle to steady it. The red tattoos on his arm began to pulsate and then brighten in color ever so slightly. Red shadows began to swirl around the dead tauren and his body jerked as the shadows entered his body. He shoved the body upward, as he himself swam over to the base of the pinnacle keeping well below the surface. The shadow possessed tauren, eyes glowing red, swam up to the surface and grabbed hold of Lucinther's foot.

((There's lots of dead bodies down below. Smile ))

Lucinther grasped wildly for something to hold on to as Reaver drug him beneath the surface, but all he managed to find was water. He stopped struggling. There was no point to fighting to get free, wasting his energy. The Tauren had a solid grip on him. He let Reaver pull him further and further below the surface. One of them would eventually drown. Who it would be was up in the air still.

The goblin looked over at Lailya, "Having fun?" His grin widened as he casually tossed the bomb over at a group of guards. "Zhirty zeven." A spell hit him square in the chest, and he fell backwards. It felt as if his blood were being drained. He gasped through the pain, pulling a blade out of his armor and throwing it at the priestess. The blade went wide, missing her by a foot. The priestess then directed a spell at Lailya, ((gotta share the love)) and a wave of sickness and nausea wracked at her body.

Several of the more 'brave' ((I say stupid)) guards jumped in the water after Zaevian.

"Oh, tons," Lailya said with a nasty grin. She continued walking toward the priestess, ignoring the spells flying around her, but halted with a grunt as nausea rolled over her. She haunched over, fighting the urge to be sick as she braced herself on her cane. 'Well, this is inconvenient,' the blood elf thought.

Then an odd, itchy feeling was suddenly creeping along the awareness of her senses. There was only one creature who elicited that response.

Lailya raised her head and stared the priestess straight in the eye. "You lose," she sneered.

Jumping out of the darkness behind the priestess came Shaathun, slavering with glee as he pounced on her. As his jaws clamped down, the felhunter's long, swishy "feelers" began to drain the mana from both the priestess herself and the air around her.
