Fare Thee Well - Dispaya

((I know I didn't know you in character well enough to really have much to put here besides Axel standing there looking confused as to what she should do in that situation, but as the guy behind the pali, I'm sad to see you go.

Besides, wasn't Axulia supposed to bake you a cake or a pie or something? D:
I never got around to doing that...sorry. -_-))

Hi everyone...

I want to thank you all for you nice comments. It has really meant alot to me.

It has reached my ear that there is some dissent stirring as the result of my leaving. I want to make it clear that I do not endorse that in any way. I only want members here to work together on things. I am sorry if my leaving has disrupted anything. I did not mean for that to happen. Everyone should please calm down.

I encourage you all to follow Srengs lead on things. He is a wise leader and a good friend to everyone here. I have made all of my concerns known to him and he is well able to listen and do what is best for everyone. Please attend the moot tonight. Please have constructive comments ready to share. Please try not to be angry or upset at anyone.

Most of all...this is a place for fun and friendship. My disagreements have alot more to do with internal officer affairs and have nothing to do with the tribe overall. This is a great tribe and the officers all care about everyone here. They all work hard to provide fun and a great environment for everyone. Lets not let everyones hard work go down in flames because of something like this. That is not a good way to honor my friendship with everyone here and it would break my heart worse than it is already.

On a grass and stone covered hilltop, a lean, athletic figure crouched by a small fire, a ghostly feline form by her side. She went through the motions of skinning a few rabbits and set them on sticks over the fire.

Her head snapped up, looking over her left shoulder, her eyes focusing. Her brows furrowed as her frustration mounted, unable to see what had caught her attention. She'd felt a passing of...something...but could not place what it was. She'd tracked, encountered and often fought many different things in her travels, but this was different. Shrugging, she went back to tending the rabbits over the fire; it would be several days before she got word through her contacts that the mage Dispaya was no more.

The night she found out, she went to one of the sacred mountaintops in the Barrens, and gathered enough wood to make a large bonfire. She waited til the last hint of twilight graced the horizon, then set it alight. She did a slow, ritualistic dance, a low, almost guttural singing coming from her throat. As the rhythm of the dance changed, so, too, did her voice and the song. There were no words, only primal chants, channeling all that there was to be said about life, love, loss and triumph. Lhuurssa poured her heartsong into this melody, for the one that had always encouraged the Tribe to "sing true."

She had not traveled with Dispaya as much as others in the Tribe, but that did not make the loss any less heartfelt. She continued the song, gyrating around the bonfire in a semi-trance, allowing her grief and anguish to pour out, slowly transfusing in her admiration and love for the Forsaken mage. The dance lasted for a better part of the night, until she lay down on her furs under the stars, her spectral cat curled around her for protection and comfort.

((Sorry to see you go, Dispaya; I just let my subscription go last month, myself, though for different reasons. Best of luck to you!))

The rumor mill seems to be churning about why I left. I'm not going into it too much more and will be leaving the forums after today but I do want to say it had nothing to do with RP issues. I have never really perceived a problem there. This guild is big enough to house both RP and raid play. If anyone is upset over the rp or lack thereof my only advise to you would be to start something up. However the best RP does not revolve around your character, and your characters current problems. Its better if you start something everyone can have a hand in joining. If your current problems hinder you make that part of the story. Focussing on raiding is great too. We have forums and a lfg channel for that. The point is to be inclusive and not exclusive. Its not a one or the other situation. Everyone here should be able to play the game they want and be accepted for it. I will also say, as a former officer, that its not the officers jobs to always create rp stories for the tribe. Its more their job to make sure everyone has a good place to play. Make a good story and the Officers will maybe even join in. So please stop blaming them for lack of RP. RP is created by the participants, not by a single person. So I encourage you to go be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem. Use your imagination. It's a wonderful thing.

huggs to all

'Uglawha strolls into the Guild Hall...looks around for his little Sis...does not see her anywhere....asks some friends if they have seen her...hears the news of her disappearance with sadness....sighs and knows that he will miss her deeply...salutes her memory with respect and knows that she will live forever in his heart."
