I was wondering who might be interested in a moot, what time zones they're in, and what day would work for them. I'd love to do an old-school moot in Thunder Bluff near Cairne, something pretty open to the Tribe and to anyone nearby. Waka would be happy to go over the basics of the Tribal Tenets, and then let it go into general RP.

I was considering whether or not we need one more Tribal Tenet for Classic - no references to future content. This can be addressed in-character as simply, "There's been rumors that a faction of Nozdormu's brood has been corrupted by old gods, but I've spoken with one of the ambassadors of the Bronze Dragonflight, and they assure me that there's no such thing."

I really like the community of Classic so far, and I think it'd be great to keep on moving at least through the first six phases of Classic, and then see where it goes from there.]]>

According to a Wowhead article posted 2 hrs ago, the world boss that drops the potions of prolonged power rank 3 recipe has been spawning.

A German dev post says the spawn is intentional, so okay to kill him as well as Nithogg .

In case you hadn't heard, there is a fundraiser going on for the next nine days called the Humble Indie Bundle. If you are unfamiliar with the Humble Indie Bundle, it is a collection of five indie games that you can buy where the proceeds go to charity. The really cool thing about the Humble Indie Bundle is that you name your price. You can be a jerk and pay a dollar, or you can be a superhero and pay $4000 (like Notch, the guy who made minecraft) or anything in between.

The bundle comes with Cogs, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Hammerfight, And Yet It Moves, and VVVVVV. It also come with a free copy of Minecraft that you can play till the 15th. They work on all platforms, Windows, Mac, and Linux, and are DRM free. It also comes with a Steam code and a code for Desura (another Steam-like service).

The funds go to support the Child's Play Charity and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. A cool thing they added this year is you get to decide how much of your donations go where. A wonderful and terrible thing happened while we were all braving ICC last year. Someone got it in their head that this sort of behavior was peculiar and worth investigation. They took it upon themselves to document these events and compile them into a documentary. That documentary is called The Raid.

Now, truth be told, I don't know much about this beyond what's on the surface. It's a documentary that follows a group of raiders in their quest to defeat the Lich King. There are interviews with some game designers, the raiders (of course) and some internet experts (read: Lore from Tankspot). It sounds neat and I wanna see it.

You wanna see it too? Well, gamebreaker.tv is going to be airing it live on August 6th at 6PM PST with both a pre and post show with a panel of internet celebs. If anybody is interested you should swing by gamebreaker next Saturday night and check it out. I also recommend checking out the site in general. It is a new site devoted to gaming that has a bunch of different shows that air live weekly. They cover mostly MMOs and are completely independent. Another worthy cause to support. How many independent TV channels or gaming sites do you know of? There aren't many.

If you can't make it Saturday night because, oh I don't know, you have a life or something, they will host it for 48 hours after airing.

Fishing Competition - Bring your fishing poles, because there isn't an IST party without some good 'ol fish wranglin'. A list of required fish/items will be provided.

Durotar Scavenger Hunt - Kill mobs, find vendors and get items! A list will be provided, and the first one to bring all required items will win the prize!

Fishing Competition - Bring your fishing poles, because there isn't an IST party without some good 'ol fish wranglin'. A list of required fish/items will be provided.

I've also heard that there was trouble in picking moot locations, often having them be thought of half an hour beforehand. Several people today expressed interest in having a way to pick the moots beforehand. So, I'mma makin' a list that Ironsingers can get ideas from if they want, and we can add more to it as other people suggest them, and we can put a strike through the ones we've done until we refresh the list. :3

I am holding a creative writing contest for ultra-short stories! Your job is to write an ultra-short story of no more than six words. The contest will run for two weeks, and you may enter as many stories as you wish. Have fun!

Goal
Write a six-word story consistent with the Warcraft world.

Duration
The competition will last two weeks. It will be over on May 6, 2010.

Prizes
Three prizes will be awarded, for the winner and two runners-up. Prizes will be distributed after the moot on May 6, at 7 p.m.

Rules
1) Your story may be no more than 6 words long
2) Contractions (e.g. don't, can't, she's) count as one word
3) You may enter as many stories as you like
4) The story does not need to mention Warcraft concepts explicitly, but it must be consistent with the Warcraft world.
5) Submit your stories as replies to this post in "Exciting Events"
6) Friends of Ironsong are welcome to participate
