I know I mentioned wanting to do this a while ago then life just kind of swallowed me up. Anyway, I'm totally committed now and just need input from you all on when would be the best time! So reply letting us know what evening and time works best for you. I'm leaning towards a Sunday but can be swayed. The whole event should take somewhere from 1-2 hours and you don't have to stay the whole time. There will be prizes and everyone that attends will get random presents.

If you would like to donate anything for a prize send it to Altynay. Make sure it is something that can be gift wrapped (i.e. pets, mounts, transmog gear) as the surprise is part of the fun.

If you have any questions feel free to ask here, in game, or send me a direct message on discord

Characters in attendance of the event should be 70+ and on Silver Hand or one of the connected realms. I mean you could come on a lower level alt to the first 2 events but it may cause some interesting and unfortunate results.

The Ironsong Tribe has revisited Azeroth over on Bloodsail Bucanneers!

I was wondering who might be interested in a moot, what time zones they're in, and what day would work for them. I'd love to do an old-school moot in Thunder Bluff near Cairne, something pretty open to the Tribe and to anyone nearby. Waka would be happy to go over the basics of the Tribal Tenets, and then let it go into general RP.

I was considering whether or not we need one more Tribal Tenet for Classic - no references to future content. This can be addressed in-character as simply, "There's been rumors that a faction of Nozdormu's brood has been corrupted by old gods, but I've spoken with one of the ambassadors of the Bronze Dragonflight, and they assure me that there's no such thing."

I really like the community of Classic so far, and I think it'd be great to keep on moving at least through the first six phases of Classic, and then see where it goes from there.

Hey all, I've been thinking that since there's no raids for a bit and since we have a lot of people playing right now It'd be a great time to organise a guild games! I haven't done one of these since I was in my original alliance guild back in Vanilla/BC. I was thinking of starting it with a ground mount race and then I have a dungeon event planned but I would totally love help planning more events. I was also thinking of collecting prizes and wrapping them in mystery boxes so everyone at least gets something (even if it may be more of a joke gift).

So let me know:
what nights would work best
what times would work best
if you want to help
if you've got any ideas for events
if you want to donate prizes

It'd probably be a few weeks before this would happen because this will take some planning to get everything together. I was thinking maybe a Saturday night might be best? It could run for a couple hours officially but if shenanigans continued after that would be totally expected.

Just stopping by to make two announcements. I think this is a good spot for it. They are exciting events.

First off:
In case you hadn't heard, there is a fundraiser going on for the next nine days called the Humble Indie Bundle. If you are unfamiliar with the Humble Indie Bundle, it is a collection of five indie games that you can buy where the proceeds go to charity. The really cool thing about the Humble Indie Bundle is that you name your price. You can be a jerk and pay a dollar, or you can be a superhero and pay $4000 (like Notch, the guy who made minecraft) or anything in between.

The bundle comes with Cogs, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Hammerfight, And Yet It Moves, and VVVVVV. It also come with a free copy of Minecraft that you can play till the 15th. They work on all platforms, Windows, Mac, and Linux, and are DRM free. It also comes with a Steam code and a code for Desura (another Steam-like service).

The funds go to support the Child's Play Charity and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. A cool thing they added this year is you get to decide how much of your donations go where. I encourage all of you to check it out and make a donation if you can. This is a great opportunity to support not only some very worthy causes but also the indie game development community.

http://www.humblebundle.com/

Second:
A wonderful and terrible thing happened while we were all braving ICC last year. Someone got it in their head that this sort of behavior was peculiar and worth investigation. They took it upon themselves to document these events and compile them into a documentary. That documentary is called The Raid.

Now, truth be told, I don't know much about this beyond what's on the surface. It's a documentary that follows a group of raiders in their quest to defeat the Lich King. There are interviews with some game designers, the raiders (of course) and some internet experts (read: Lore from Tankspot). It sounds neat and I wanna see it.

You wanna see it too? Well, gamebreaker.tv is going to be airing it live on August 6th at 6PM PST with both a pre and post show with a panel of internet celebs. If anybody is interested you should swing by gamebreaker next Saturday night and check it out. I also recommend checking out the site in general. It is a new site devoted to gaming that has a bunch of different shows that air live weekly. They cover mostly MMOs and are completely independent. Another worthy cause to support. How many independent TV channels or gaming sites do you know of? There aren't many.

If you can't make it Saturday night because, oh I don't know, you have a life or something, they will host it for 48 hours after airing.

There was an update today on mmo-champion.com about the guild achievement lists. I decided to post some of the more interesting ones here and see which ones we would like to see accomplished! I feel it's going to be a lot of fun to get these.
Also, for some of them, I'm not sure if only one person in the guild needs to meet the requirement or if multiple people do. Anyone who can inform me on that would be great.

Also, for some of them, I'm not sure if only one person in the guild needs to meet the requirement or if multiple people do. Anyone who can inform me on that would be great.

Thursday, 6/10, there will be another Ironsong Beach party. This time it will be located on Ironsong Beach in Durotar and there will be competitions with prizes!

Fishing Competition - Bring your fishing poles, because there isn't an IST party without some good 'ol fish wranglin'. A list of required fish/items will be provided.

Beach Bum Competition - Think you have what it takes to be the next Ironsong Beach Bum? Throw on those shorts, put down a towel, pull down your hat brims and slather on the Cactus Sunscreen (made right in our own Valley of Trials!), because we want to see you in your best beach gear.

Durotar Scavenger Hunt - Kill mobs, find vendors and get items! A list will be provided, and the first one to bring all required items will win the prize!

This is what I've come up with so far, but there may be more. It's BYOK, and Beach Partying IST style. See you there!
