Although often mistaken as sin'dorei, I am quel'dorei, as I did not survive the Third War. I suppose I would generally be known as a "Death Knight."
3) Please introduce yourself to us, as much of your personal history as you feel comfortable sharing at this time.

Once, I lived and breathed and dreamed as any other of the quel'dorei. This ended with the Scourge invasion into Quel'thalas. I fell in battle and was raised as a tool of the Scourge. My memories of this time are fragmented. Although, those memories do, from time to time, sneak up on me unawares. The sounds of the screams. The scent of blood and smoke. The expressions of fury and fear on the faces of my kin as I . . . . never mind. I am free of that past. I have my own will again.

4) Tell us about any professions you have taken up, such as Tailoring or First Aid.

I have been tinkering a bit with engineering and mining. I have also been forcing myself to learn the more mundane, everyday professions, such as cooking and first aid.

5) What are the Clans, Tribes, or Guilds that you have been a part of in the past, if any?

I have not associated with any other Clans, Tribes, or Guilds at this point. ((I am new to the server. I have a few Alliance characters on Argent Dawn, but my guild no longer RPs.))

6) Please describe what drew your interest in joining the Ironsong Tribe, and any memorable interactions you have had with members of Ironsong.
A posted notice caught my attention. I must say that it intrigued me. I would very much like to meet with some of the members of Ironsong. ((I saw the post in guild finder that directed me to your site. I very much liked what I found here!))

7) What is the greatest trial you have faced, either long ago, or in the recent past?

I followed Koltira into the Horde. It seemed like a wise choice at the time. I could lend my strength to fighting back the Scourge. But things have changed recently. Thrall has left to serve, perhaps, a greater purpose, leaving Garrosh to serve as Warchief. I cannot say that the change has been positive. And Sylvanas . . . . I once admired her brilliant mind and determination. However, now, I fear she has lost her way. She seems to slowly be changing into that which we fought! With all of these changes, I find myself somewhat lost. The Horde is my home -- my family -- but who can I serve with clear conscious? One may not consider this a true trial, but they are mistaken.

8) What are your current goals, or some of your greatest desires, and the reasons behind them?

This question is more complicated than it seems at first glance. If I state that I am looking for a cause that I can serve in clear conscious, then I might be perceived as a traitor. I am not. I would love to see the end of the Scourge threat, but that is surely a given. I suppose, I am searching for purpose. While undeath is not life, it is certainly a second chance. I will make the most of it.

9) What do you enjoy most in your adventures in Azeroth?

I enjoy people, great and humble. They each have their stories, their hopes, their fears . . . . They make the world worth fighting for.

10) Finally, have you read our Code of Conduct, and do you agree to abide by the rules stated in it? If so, please state so here in addition to a reply to the post itself.
1) State your name and any titles that you have earned, through service to the Horde in battle or otherwise.
Toro. Mom thought it was a hilarious joke really. Tauren named "Bull". No titles to speak of.

2) List your race and vocation, be it Undead Mage, Orc Hunter, or any other.
Tauren Death Knight

3) Please introduce yourself to us, as much of your personal history as you feel comfortable sharing at this time.
I remember little to nothing save pain. It's odd the things you remember. I remember being proud, warrior once, then a blinding pain followed by the drip of water. Then it was rage, anger, hatred for anything alive or living as I tore across The Plague Lands with my beothers of the Ebon Blade. Then humiliation. Begging The Horde to accept my services...Anyway, I am here. That is enough is it not?

4) Tell us about any professions you have taken up, such as Tailoring or First Aid.
Blacksmithing, mining. I can't cook. I HATE to cook, mainly because I routinely burn my water. It's a talent.

5) What are the Clans, Tribes, or Guilds that you have been a part of in the past, if any?
None in this realm.

6) Please describe what drew your interest in joining the Ironsong Tribe, and any memorable interactions you have had with members of Ironsong.
Serenefire is a friend of mine. One night, camping out on Hellfire Penninsula, I was set upon by a group of Fel-Orcs. They stole my things, and left me for dead. She found me. She showed kindness to me and nursed me back to health. I think, it'd please her to know I ripped the lot of them apart with my bare hands just last week. Maybe I should tell her...-shrug-

7) What is the greatest trial you have faced, either long ago, or in the recent past?
My greatest trial? I struggle everyday to remember I was a Tauren, a proud paragon of power, balance, and justice. It's the pride of a people the Lich stole from me. He..He turned me into a thing that reeks of death, a hollow husk. Always I struggle to remember the man I was once.

8) What are your current goals, or some of your greatest desires, and the reasons behind them?
I want to find what ever happened of my family.

9) What do you enjoy most in your adventures in Azeroth?
They have these things...Soft crumbly bits of bread, but they are sweet. I do not remember what they are called. But I get ones with chocolate and nuts in them. Oh...And I like Dalaran. Floating like that...It makes me...Eh - giggle.

10) Finally, have you read our Code of Conduct, and do you agree to abide by the rules stated in it? If so, please state so here in addition to a reply to the post itself.
A fine piece of literature. Sure, I'll abide by the rules.

Why most august personages, Ylev Lokisheim at your service! Pointy-eared pest and purveyor of parlor tricks, or if you want to be plebian about it, a blood elf mage with a thirst for…well, anything from adventure to booze, really. I blame both vices on being exposed to them as a young, innocent and impressionable urchin living off the streets (and whatever I could filch from the nearby vendors).

Oh, you want to hear that story? Well, pumpkins, if you insist...I grew up on the streets of a city long past, and I was a street urchin, all small and grubby and spiny. You learn to fend for yourself quickly, there, and you also grow a crust, though that’s more from a lack of any concept of hygiene (so dreadful!). Anyways, like all blood elves I struggled with my addiction to arcane magic, but there is addiction (which is tolerable), and then there is addiction, which is nasty. Some of the other street rats become Wretched and was positively terrified, so I resolved to prevent that from happening to moi.

It started with pilfering tomes, and ended with pestering mages; either way, I spent a lot of time as a critter. Incidentally, penguins are the most awkward creatures on the planet, and this is from first-hand experience. Eventually, I did come across a mage who took me in and taught me the basics, but she was killed in the fight with the traitor Kael’Thas. And so, with nowhere to go, and my city in ruins, I left to begin my adventures in Azeroth. I had to learn to fish, to cook food on the go, and how to mend my inevitable wounds. At the same time, though, I picked up the skill of creating beautiful gems and enchanting my personal effects to sparkle. I like sparkly things; I bet you can't tell...

But in truth, even with many sparkly things I am getting...what's the word...discontented . It has taken me many nights of introspection (following many nights of glorious alcohol-induced mayhem) butI have finally figured out why: I have never had a clan or a family. But mayhap I am getting old, or even bored. I want to find out what it is like, to belong to a close-knit clan.

Come to think of it, of the encounters I have had throughout my wanderings, I have most enjoyed meeting other heroic ]adventurers. I want to fight for a cause, to have teammates to watch my back and to defend in return. In truth, most “clans” I have found in the past were shallow and fleeting. Tribes that strive for true glory and honor in this shattered age are few and far between, but tribes that look out for each other are even rarer. Of all the groups that I have encountered throughout the ages, the Ironsong Tribe has been the most memorable and stirring; I recall a recent opportunity I had to take down Halfus Wyrmbreaker with a few members of the tribe. This was also one of the greatest trials I had ever faced in my travels throughout Azeroth – the fights with the Twilight’s Hammer cultists were deadly and required all the skill and attention I had gleaned over the years! I was impressed with the camaraderie and capability of all members in the group, and gained the impression that this would be a tribe I would be honored to join.

So there you have it! One of the few times that yours truly will ever be so solemn. It's taken a while for me to present myself officially, begging your pardons, but I hope you find me worthy (or at least, amusing)!

1) State your name and any titles that you have earned, through service to the Horde in battle or otherwise
They call me Serene, I bare no title outside that of orphan or occasionally mutt -- neither of which I have found all that flattering, though soon enough I'll have a title to call my own.

2) List your race and vocation, be it Undead Mage, Orc Hunter, or any other.
I've chosen to pursue the totemic arts of Shamanry. Originally I simply arrived at the decision based on a love for glowing wooden figurines, though as I grew I learned there was a good deal more to my calling than illuminated sculptures.

3) Please introduce yourself to us, as much of your personal history as you feel comfortable sharing at this time.
I truly don't have much of a past to speak of. As far back as I can recall I was an orphan, cared for by the orphan matron Battlewail who, one might add, is not nearly as kind as she seems. The only Tauren orphan in the heart of Orgrimmar I didn't see many perspective parents and began to learn rather quickly that my life would not be that of a normal child. Over time I began to explore the city, taking in the atmosphere and the cultures that gathered there until one day in early May my sixth year of life. A great many children were taken out to see the world and explore the possibilities for their future, including me.

A Tauren Shaman took me beneath his wing for a day, leading me to a number of places I had only heard spoken of in the taverns within the Valley of Honor. He was quiet and confident... more importantly... he had totems. High on sugar from a generous helping of ice cream I decided my days would be spent attempting to be every bit as great a shaman as the Tauren who took me out that day, of course it wasn't exactly an easy journey. Beautiful as my totems are they weren't exactly as easy to obtain as I had thought... though the time spent between gathering them was made light by pranks played on four paws. While I haven't learned all that I know I can yet, I am eager to learn as much as I possibly can to become the Shaman I know I can be.

4) Tell us about any professions you have taken up, such as Tailoring or First Aid.
You would be surprised just how much can be learned at an orphanage or wandering around Orgrimmar for that matter. I like to consider myself a jack of many trades; enchanting, mining, fist aid, cooking, and I have ever managed to catch a fish or two in my day.

5) What are the Clans, Tribes, or Guilds that you have been a part of in the past, if any?
I have yet to be involved in any clans, tribes, or guilds... though there is a first time for everything. (Transferred servers. )

6) Please describe what drew your interest in joining the Ironsong Tribe, and any memorable interactions you have had with members of Ironsong.
Shortly after the cataclysmic event that left our world torn asunder, I returned to Orgrimmar to check on the Matron and orphans still in the city. There I overheard a guard speaking with Garosh over a snarky old Warlock who'd been giving them a touch of trouble or rather being a bit of a nuisance. In jest the guard mentioned hiring a nuisance to distract their own, which is when I offered my services in hopes of putting a good hoof in with the Horde commander. It just so happens that warlock is a member of this very tribe and I fully intend on being as much of a nuisance to him as I am able for the good of my commander.

7) What is the greatest trial you have faced, either long ago, or in the recent past?
The greatest trial I ever faced was overcoming adversity and making my way in the world. Nothing is harder than taking that first step... while there are many ahead of me, I am still walking.

8) What are your current goals, or some of your greatest desires, and the reasons behind them?
I wish to become every bit as grand as the Shaman who took me around the world as a child so that I can one day do the same for another orphan.

9) What do you enjoy most in your adventures in Azeroth?
I enjoy seeing everything and experiencing everything I can. I also enjoy spending a good deal of time within my wolf form and playing tricks on people in the name of good fun.

10) Finally, have you read our Code of Conduct, and do you agree to abide by the rules stated in it? If so, please state so here in addition to a reply to the post itself.

Tribe Application for Eonia Attaboli, Mage

I am Scout Eonia Attaboli, Magus of the Darkspear clan. I’ve also been known as “The Merrymaker”, “The Explorer”, and to some “Eonia Jenkins”. I was almost also known as “The watcher of Dungeon Ceilings” because I have had my share of experience looking up at them from a prone position. ((It took me a while to learn how to not die every pull back in Classic World of Warcraft.)) Typically though, I wander the lands and people know me as just plain Eonia.
I’ve never really been fond of titles, as I sort of feel like people try too hard to live up to them and ultimately end up placing a lid on their achievements. I’m just me. I’m plain spoken and blunt, though I do try not to be too brash and always strive not to be hurtful. Azeroth is far too full of pain, death and sorrow right now for me to add hurtful things to the mix.
I’ve been studying the art of needlework since I was a young girl learning at my mother’s knee, and have made it to the top of my craft. I hate saying that because I believe there is always more to learn, new patterns to find, new techniques to perfect, but so far as the Horde recognizes, I’ve reached the top.
I haven’t been studying enchanting for as long as needlework, but certainly since before we sent troops into Outland, and that too is recognized by the Horde as being ‘top of profession”.
My story is a long one so I’ll try to summarize as much as possible. There has been much sadness, but also I find that life has many great joys. For example, In my youth, I fought many a battle against Alliance raiders in my old stomping grounds, the Crossroads. The battles were bloody and harsh, and we lost many brave men and women, but the victories were great. Many a night did I sit in the Inn Tavern there in Crossroads and listen to the laughter and the tales of battle ring in the air.
I still visit there from time to time, but so much has changed since then. The world was split in two and it seems, so has the spirit of many who dwelt in these lands. I do not weep, for I am a proud Darkspear Mage, but my heart breaks every time I look upon that horrid gash in the beautiful face of our Earthmother. …But it also reminds me to take the time to laugh and have a drink with good friends and tell great stories over the din of a smoky old tavern too. While we’ll all grieve and fight against the horrors that Deathwing’s reemergence has caused, I feel we should all take the time to be thankful for the joys and even the pains, that we have lived.

I stood at the precipice of the great, yawning, ugly gash caused by Deathwing and his rising. “ Can this really be? Am I seeing what my eyes are telling me to see?” I felt a great anguish as I looked at this land. The land where I grew up. Home. What horrible thing had we done to anger the gods in such a manner? Had we been evil? Wanton? Had we lied and not followed through with promises? Would the gods really punish us like this? No. They would not. I couldn’t make myself believe the gods wished a fate of misery and death upon us.
Then again, hadn’t I watched, as a small child? Hadn’t I seen what the gods would allow? Hadn’t they let those Alliance raiders come and burn my village to the ground and rape and kill and pillage my people? Had I not stood weeping over the bodies of my mother and my father and lost my only sister in the battle? Maybe the gods were vengeful and angry and this was our penance for being willful or stubborn. I chuckled bitterly to myself then and thought, “The Horde is nothing if not Stubborn. It’s one of our more endearing traits I think. At least, ‘I’ think it is.”
I shook my head as if trying to remove the terrible memory from my body. Focus on the good things Eonia. Focus on what your life was like after you left the carnage and destruction those evil dregs of Azeroth haddone. The people you met along the way.
I smiled a little as I thought of my friends and associates. The ones from “Nature’s Balance”, “Slaves to the Mistress”, “Oracles of the Storm” and “Minute of Decay”; yes, they had been worth knowing. They had been worth living through all the horrors of this world just to know friendship. True and strong, it can hold us together now.
Those were the things I thought as I picked up my bags and strapped them back into the harness on my Bronze Drake. It had reminded me why I was going to go see the Ironsong Tribe. Back then… yes, the pilgrimage. I remember that. Such feeling and heartfelt love and emotion ran that day as we trekked our way to the tomb. That had been about people and their memories as well. About the valor and sorrows of war, but it had also been about the laughter. Hadn’t it? At any rate, it had been moving and those were the people I was going to see now.
((A long time ago I made a trip with the Ironsong tribe and most of the RP community of the server. I think it was ’06 or ’07. I’ve never forgotten the great RP and emotion that day and would be proud to be a member of such a guild.))

We’ll never be able to forget the battles we’ve fought to get here. For me, I think the most difficult was facing Ignis in Ulduar and knowing that these relics of time past would destroy our world if we let them. We fought long and hard then for what we believed in. The good and the bad, the group consciousness and the single mindedness that lies within each of us…Regardless of why we fought, fight we did, and fight we will until Deathwing is in the ground, this time buried under the ashes of himself and his army.

I seem to have gotten a bit off track there for a minute. What was I saying before my tangent? Ah yes, I’ve a great love for my crafts and strive always to find new patterns and parchments on tailoring and enchanting, and I’m a lover of exploration so I will continue to look for new lands and new things. Maybe I’ll search for the new within the old and dabble in some Archaeology.
I’ve many small goals to accomplish along the way, like my desire to see and befriend all the smallest creatures of the lands. My larger goals include training myself and someday going to battle Deathwing and rid Azeroth of his shadow once and for all. I’ve also made a vow to myself to extinguish as many Twilight’s Hammer cultists as I can before my eventual death.	On a more personal note, I will continue to search the lands for any sign of my beloved sister Kwami, lost to me in the attack against my village in my youth.
So in short, I may seem like a rough Darkspear mage, who’s a bit battle hardened, but I’m really an idealist at heart. My greatest joy is exploration and learning about our history and lore. Each and every time I find a new and interesting fact that’s been buried someplace, I feel a little giddy. I’m a pretty light-hearted Troll when all is said and done, but gods help you if you are on the wrong side of my arcane blast.
In closing, I have read and agree to abide by the rules and charter of the Ironsong Tribe. If chosen, it will be my great pleasure to represent your Tribe, and my honor to wear your guild tabard.
((I’ve been playing since November ’05 and am a true addict. I’ve been in several guilds, as you can see, but have left them on good terms and usually just due to the ‘drift-apart’ syndrome that befalls all but the most stalwart of groups. I hear that Oracles of the Storm has since began operating again, and for that I am glad. They are a wonderful group of folks and I wish them the best. I’m sure I’ve left something out, and if you find it, I do apologize for it now. I tend to ramble once I get going. Sorry for that. *grin*))

*grin*))

The World's End tavern, formerly bustling with patrons and staff, now sits fairly vacant. Eishla, a young tauren shaman, sits at a table near the bar. Her presence is one of gravity, pulling others to her boisterous, gregarious nature and youthful passion. Some of her armor lays beside the table, a mismatch of gifts from various grateful clients of her heroic exploits. Some is also discarded refuse or claimed from dead enemies. However, she pays it all no mind, choosing instead to drink heartily with two new friends.

The first is a pale troll with shock white hair and cold eyes. His presence is unmistakably that of a death knight, and the chill of the Lich King hangs about his person like a spot of blood in one's tunic. Despite this, the man who calls himself Trozzesh doesn't give off the air of a servant of the dark, nor does he seem to favor the lightness of a hero. His aura is dead, muted. A suit of plate shrouds his body, thoroughly worn but obviously cared for with a craftsman's eye. Even at the table, with a full pint of kungaloosh, his hands remain at his sides by twin axes that match the double-bladed axe strapped to his back.

The other person at the table is Donalzon, an officer within the Ironsong Tribe and a paladin of some renown. He has seen quite a few tides, but his over-indulgence in the pleasures of life make plain that he is far from too serious for fun and frivolity. Several pints of kungaloosh already sit empty before him, and he eyes Trozzesh's drink deviously during breaks in Eishla's talking.

"How did Trozzesh and I meet? Well that's not a long story at all! Like I was telling you earlier, before the Cataclysm, I had an awesome life. Hanging out with friends, learning more about the Earthmother and her children, teaching the younger ones, stuff like that. It was amazing! What better life is there? But, then it all changed.

“When the Earthmother began to cry out in pain, it hit me hard. So hard that I couldn't even get out of bed for days, and I cried and wept for my beloved world. I don't remember how long it was, but eventually some of my young friends came to visit, to make sure I was okay and ask what had happened. How do you explain to children what it feels like when the very ground you walk on is screaming? I tried to tell them about what was going on, but as I talked I realized I honestly didn't know much more than what I'd heard and felt. Then they asked me if I was going to heal the scars in the world, and I was somewhat dumbfounded.” Eishla pauses to take a long draw from her drink. “Then I asked myself: Why not? So I said, ‘Yes!’” Eishla banged the table and stood up obviously over excited knocking over a couple of the empty pints in front of Donalzon. “I will heal the scars of the Earthmother!’” She sat back down. At this point Donalzon’s eyes wide, he mutters to himself “Not a long story eh?”

"So I packed some belongings and set off to see what damage had been done for my own eyes. I was SO not prepared. Just seeing the tear in the Barrens alone made me fall on my knees in anguish. I used to love running across the plains, hunting zhevra and watching the strangers in Ratchet. But it was all torn apart. I felt like my childhood had been ripped away.

"That's when Trozzesh showed up! I was feeling the dirt in my hands, trying to get a feel for what I could do to rebuild my homeland, when he put his hand on my shoulder. When I looked up, I was a bit frightened. I mean look at him!" Eishla gestures toward Trozzesh with both hands a bit wobbly while the troll looks back at her impassively, only the barest hint of a smile hidden beneath a tusk. “And it was the strangest thing that he didn’t actually say anything. Just stood there with his hand on my shoulder. Have you ever had one of those moments when you felt so many things at once that you didn’t even know which emotion was strongest? Well that was me. So neither of us said anything while time seemed to stop. It wasn’t until I had let all the grains of dirt run through my fingers that he actually spoke. 'What does the Earthmother tell you, shaman?' I was astounded he knew that I was a shaman, but I guess I shouldn't have been. I told him how I could feel pain and anguish, how the healing had begun but it was difficult and would take millenia without help. And he just nodded, taking in what I said.

"When I finished, he started to walk away, and I was insulted. I mean really, who does that?! So I called to him ‘Hey!’ Of course then I realized I didn’t know what to say, but he stopped and just stood there in midstride anyway. Finally I managed to blurt out 'At least tell me who you are before you go.’ And he turned around, wearing this emotionless expression. He told me his name, and enough to make me afraid for him.

"I don't know if you know a lot about death knights, but I guess becoming one means forsaking everything you were before. EVERYTHING. Trozzesh doesn't even remember what it means to be a troll, let alone his family or friends or where he grew up. And he did some pretty nasty things as a death knight. Lots of torture and murder and all sorts of horrible things. He tried not to go into details, but I could tell." Trozzesh looks down into his pint and for the first time since they sat down takes a swig of the beverage, much to the resentment of Donalzon. Eishla looks thoughtfully at Trozzesh while she continues. "Well, when the death knights at Ebon Hold broke free from the Scourge, Trozzesh was left with nothing. He was free, but he had no past, no history. I always have people to turn to when I feel lost or confused, but he had no one at all, no job or cause, no purpose or anything to fight for. He told me he was empty.

"Well when you hear a story like that, you can't help but feel sorry for someone, and I thought I could be his friend! And then he wouldn’t have to be empty. And we've been hanging out, adventuring and traveling ever since!"

Trozzesh passes his drink to Donalzon. "Thank you for your help in Silithus with the Twilight cultists. I do not think we would have been as successful without your assistance." Trozzesh speaks with a deep timbre and carefully pronounced syllables, as if unused to using his voice. "Have you heard anything about the Twilight here in the Outlands, or Northrend?"

Donalzon gulps down the kungaloosh, pleased to feel the sweet drink coating the insides of his throat and stomach with its warmth. "Not really. The Ironsong Tribe has found out that they're connected in a big way with the Cataclysm, and we have many operatives attempting to deal with them and stop their machinations. I myself am replacing armor and weapons I sold after Northrend, while they figure out where I’m needed to bust some heads."

Trozzesh nods. "In my travels, I have heard many things about this Ironsong Tribe. Your actions speak well for them, as do the skills of Torine and Kosath. I admit I do not pay very much attention to the beings I encounter, friend or foe, but martial prowess is always something to be respected as a warrior. Perhaps your tribe would consider aiding Eishla in her quest to destroy Deathwing and return the world to balance."

Eishla slaps Trozzesh's arms lightly, wincing as the blow strikes folded obsidium. "I wouldn't go without you, silly! It's not like you have anything tying you down. And maybe they could use a decent blacksmith and miner who spends WAY too much time hunting for ore." Eishla turns to Donalzon, seeing his eyes gaze up from her bosom to her face and back and causing her to blush. "So how about it? Do you think your family would be interested in taking in a couple of strays? Well, one stray and one shaman looking for some friends anyway."

Donalzon smirks. "I'd have to confer with my guildmates first, of course. But maybe."

Trozzesh coughs. "May I have a word with you in private, Donalzon?"

Eishla frowns. "What are you going to talk about, Trozz? Nothing bad I trust?"

"Nothing bad, Eishla. Just a few things to clear up."

Trozzesh leads Donalzon to the doorway of the tavern, the street vendors nearly deserted at this hour. "Donalzon, you are a brave and noble warrior. I, too, am a fighter of some skill and mettle. However, I bring with me the taint of the Lich King. My distant past is lost, my recent past is the resume of a barbarian and villian. I have no hope for redemption, but there is something special about Eishla. Though she has not won renown or fought in great battles, her spirit is that of a heroine of legend. Her innocence and fire, that of youth and love unmarred, must not be tarnished by the shadows of war. The protection of this person and all she stands for is what I have dedicated myself to. There is nothing left in life for me, but if I can keep this light of hope shining, then this world can be healed.

"But she wishes to rush off to slay Deathwing with the folly of youth. I cannot protect her against such a foe alone. It is my hope that the Ironsong Tribe has similar goals to hers - repairing the damage that has been done and making those responsible for it pay dearly. Even if my deeds under the yoke of the Lich King prevent me from being a part of your organization, you must take her into your fold and watch over her. I will do anything to be sure that she is safe and among friends."

Trozzesh looks at Donalzon with a ferocity reminiscent of battle fury, and Donalzon eyes him with some suspicion. "Is there something going on between you two?"
Donalzon laughs lightly, putting his hand on Trozzesh's shoulder as he turns to re-enter the bar. "Then I'll see what I can do." Eishla is looking at him suspiciously as he comes back to the table, a smile on his face and several coins in an upraised hand aimed at the waitress. "Now where were we?" he says, a fresh pint of his prized beverage on its way over.

I was born in southern Quel'Thelas. As a child, I dreamed of joining the historically prestigious Farstriders -- long before the Scourge arrived and my eyes were dyed emerald with tainted arcane sustenance. That particular event in Azeroth's history is well-known, and members of the Horde are not sympathetic to the sin'dorei plight. I do not feel the need to recant it.

I was rushed into the Ranger-General's service when the Amani threat increased, and received my title just recently. My specified skillset was needed for reconnaissance in Zul'Aman's surrounding areas. I have not -- will not -- enter Zul'Aman.

/bows with respect
As per your request I submit my application for your consideration...

1) State your name and any titles that you have earned, through service to the Horde in battle or otherwise

I am known as Nimmîr, White Jewel in the Common language of this land. It was the name given to me by those who found me amongst the ruins of our beloved land, cut off from its power, and I from my all that might have been.

2) List your race and vocation, be it Undead Mage, Orc Hunter, or any other.

Daughter, of our beloved scarred Silvermoon. I showed promise with the healing arts but, more adept still with great swords of war. It was this path that would shape me, folding and hammering me into a sword of retrubution, a shield of nuturing and a wanderer.

3) Please introduce yourself to us, as much of your personal history as you feel comfortable sharing at this time.

As quiet words caught by young ears heard, years past I was found after the Scourge had wrought havoc upon our lands. Ensconced in a hollow at the base of crumbled wall I lay, huddled deep within a tapestry, dressed in a white sleeping gown of glowing Mooncloth. Void of all other worldly things save a silver chain with a single fire opal surrounded by mithril Filigre. In age and training I have grown, befriending few for long as I travelled.

4) Tell us about any professions you have taken up, such as Tailoring or First Aid.

An avid learner I've delved deep into the secrets of Alchemy and the ancient art of Inscription, learning as I have traveled throught my journey to harvest and prepare from pool and stream sustainance and more mundane manner of healing when wounds need binding beyond magical means.

5) What are the Clans, Tribes, or Guilds that you have been a part of in the past, if any?

I travelled for a short time under the banner of The Seventh Seal, they were welcoming, and friendly our ventures while far fewer then I hoped for nothing worthy of ballad or bane. Still I found that I spent far too much time in the company of strangers and my longing for deeper being was left unsaited so I parted company and continued my search once more.

6) Please describe what drew your interest in joining the Ironsong Tribe, and any memorable interactions you have had with members of Ironsong.

The path that I've walked is nearing its end and soon I must step foot upon another. I do not wish to do so alone for I know that we are not ment to stand alone in this coming storm but, to stand with others a wall against the impending darkness. At first a passing glance as I moved in and out of the floating city of Dalaran and now as I visit Ogrimmar I'd come across members of the Tribe while I rested from my travels. It was a passing curiosity of name alone that led me to seek out more lore about the Tribe and it's tenets. I found comfort in my research and have decided to set foot upon the path that has led me to this point.

7) What is the greatest trial you have faced, either long ago, or in the recent past?

All things are a trial, a journey, a path, a choice, though there is one challenge that I continue to face and that is a place to belong. I am outgoing and giving, my bags often packed not for myself but for others that I meet in my travels. I do not seek for my own gain but, for the betterment of the whole that all may be stronger because of my being amongst them. It is this desire that has yet to reach fruition. I struggle to find companions who will stand in battle in the foreboding of circumstance and to sit quietly together sharing repast and conversation.

It is my hope that perhaps I may be able to set down my bedroll and make a bed.

8) What are your current goals, or some of your greatest desires, and the reasons behind them?

Currently I seek a hearth to set my journey pack down, commrades to call friend, adventures and ballad to be travelled and scored. It is that which drives me as I make my way exploring the newness around us and the beauty of glimmer of the pond. These are things I once knew in another place in another time for more then a score of the changing of the moons. It was the chaos of the destruction of that peace that I hope to find reflected in the place that I may yet call Home.

9) What do you enjoy most in your adventures in Azeroth?

The balance of the beauty of the the night sky in Nagrand and the magisty Deepholm. The Horror of Grim Batol and the scar of the Shattering. The hidden treasures and the treasures of conquest are all leaves on the tree, grand in their own right. Sweeter still is the 'Yes! Finally!' of friend getting that one piece of elusive gear after downing a great foe for the first time. These are things I have cherished memeories of boons that support me in the darkness and sadness that darkens what is otherwise a bright day.

10) Finally, have you read our Code of Conduct, and do you agree to abide by the rules stated in it? If so, please state so here in addition to a reply to the post itself.

I have read and shall honour and abide by Tribal Law, as current and in the future.

*bzzt bzzt* This thing on? *bzzt* knobs have to *zzkt* just right *bzzt* think that got it...

Hokay, here goes. My name is Nyxitt Sparkleting, late of the Steamwheedle Cartel and of SparkleSmith Ltd. I can't rightly say that I've earned any titles with the Horde, having only recently thrown in my lot with...you lot. But I used to be operator and part-owner of a very successful, though small, company.

In case you didn't meet me when I came by your way a couple of summers ago, I should let you know that I'm a goblin. I won't hold it against you that you're not, if you don't hold my goblinity against me, 'kay? And I used to be a warrior, as much a warrior as a businessman could spend time doing in his younger days, but in my old age I've found I'm not too shabby with the elements. Who could've known? *BZZzzztzzrrr...zt..*

*bzzt* Sorry about that, I broke one of these knobs off and the box started sparking. All better now. Where was I? *mumble mumble* *quietly* oh, here it is. Huh...I thought I already introduced myself up with number one. Whatever, Skrap said to just follow this list. *louder* I'm Nyxitt Sparkleting. I used to be a damn fine smith and smelter with Steamwheedle before I went into business for myself. I upgraded your forges a while ago with my own special design. Hope that's working out for you, by the way. I guess that if it isn't, and it blew up or something, then you probably won't be listening to this...

So, I had me this nice little traveling business, going around Kalimdor and upgrading forges for those that'd pay. SparkleSmith Ltd didn't last through those Alliance scumbags attacking when I was helping out an old buddy, Tatternack Steelforge, with improving his rigs. Normally, I'm an independent, neutral kinda guy, but nearly getting slaughtered and having everything you own get blown up by someone who isn't family? Well, that can really set you off. My money-luck hasn't gotten much better since then. All my designbooks got burned up in the attack, and I lost all my materials and my pack-kodo, so I was pretty much back at square one. I did some piece-work here and there, to pay my travel costs as I tried to find one of the places that I'd installed a new forge into, so I could maybe at least have that to work from. Course, my logbook was burned up, too, so I did a lot more wandering than I'd have liked. But I did meet a group of orc and tauren shamans, who clued me in to some of that elemental magic. I picked up some skills from them. I guess the rest of that story is the answer to number 6, below.

*quietly* Am I doing this out of order? I think I already answered this one, too... *louder* My life's profession has been metalwork. With a good enough forge, I can smelt anything you can give me. Or, I could. I don't have my notes anymore on the stronger metals. But once smelted, I can shape those metals into just about anything you'd like, from daggers and swords to boots and helmets and even some industrial smoothing, should you kneed it. You know those guide-poles on the zepp landings in Durotar and Mulgore? That was me. All my generation had to learn some basic bandaging and fishing too, back then. I can also cook a bit, but I've been told it all tastes a little of soot. I don't mind that.

Clans, tribes, or guilds....uh...I think I already mentioned I'm a Steamwheedle guy, NOT one of those Bilgewater rascals!

And that brings us to number 6. I ran into one of your people, that tauren, Wakamito. He's the one what paid me to upgrade your forges a while back. Nice kid, that one. Anyways, that reminded me that I'd done a full upgrade for your Guild, and I thought maybe I could get a peek at my handiwork again? Start re-discovering some of my old designs and get myself back on my feet again? I don't have much in the way of gold to pay for the time and trouble, but I thought maybe if you all let me join up with you, I'd repay the favor with some sweat and hard work for you.

Greatest trial...I'm assuming you don't mean judicial trial, cause I don't really want to have to re-hash that near conviction down in Booty Bay. It was completely not my fault, and...Never mind. I guess I'd have to say my greatest trial is right now, trying to grind my way back through years of lost work. And it ain't as easy as it was the first time, when I was a lot younger.

...I really feel like I'm repeating myself with this list Skrap gave me...GOALS! I'd like to get my business off the ground again, or at least out of the pit it fell into. But that's gonna take a lot of work and a lot of re-learning on my part. It would also be nice to show those Bilgewater Brats what a Steamwheedle boy can do after a little adversity. Show 'em what REAL goblins can do. And between you and me? I feel like shanking a few of those Alliance numbskulls for destroying the work of the bulk of my life.

And on a completely different note, I really enjoy the people. All that's gone bad since the Shattering, and people are still willing to help each other out. That says something about the Horde.

And yes, Skrap, if you're hearing this, I read the Code of Conduct you gave me, and yes, Skrap, I'm willing to follow those rules.

*slightly garbled* By the way, if it helps the application process, I'll tell you that Skrap is my grandniece. If it doesn't, then I hope this last bit is garbled enough that I have plausible deniabilty on that little fact.

Nyxitt out. *bzzzt-zzzkt*

Dear Ironsong tribe,

I am sending this letter to you in advance, because I have a feeling that I may not be as welcome as I was a year ago. I have recently escaped from prison, and would like to bring you a present, with hopes that it make up for some of what has happened to your tribe. I will deliver it in person, when I am able. I have a long trip ahead of me and hope that I will be able to arrive by the end of next week. I also would ask to join your tribe, so that I could make up for the losses that have occurred. When Ryak told me that he was going to make you suffer for what I told you, I was devastated. He thought that taking out the Ironsong Tribe would be easy. I am relieved that that is not the case.

You may be wondering how I got captured in the first place? Well, that is rather embarrassing, but I was actually caught off guard. Ryak, Rhogarran, and Kiarra are at the top of their league. And I hadn’t realized that they’d learn so much about my tendencies, while I was ‘a member’ of SI:7.

They made me to drink a potion that forced me to tell the truth about the questions they asked me. I tried to resist, and I wish I could say that I succeeded, but we both know that that is not the case. The compulsion was too great for me to resist. They told me that they were going to blow up your guild hall and everything in it. Knowing Ryak as well as I do, I’d be surprised if he hadn’t carried out his threat.

They locked me up in the Stockades and were planning on having me hanged. But that was about the time that Stormwind was attacked first by the elementals, then by something much bigger. I am not sure what attacked the city, but it sounded like a monster, maybe a dragon, and it shook the whole city - even the dungeon. Next thing I knew the wall burst open, and I was able to see outside. However, since the dungeon is underground, the water from the waterway began to come in. The real problem was that I was still chained up to a different wall. Debris from the damaged surrounding buildings also was pouring in through the hole. I found a charred piece of wood which had a few nails in it. I pushed the nail out of the wood and used it to pick the lock. However, by that time I was submerged completely and still had the leg irons to take care of. Fortunately, I am skilled at picking locks. I got the locks open and swam out through the opening in the wall.

I looked up and saw a behemoth of a dragon, covered in metal plates (I would guess goblin workmanship) and engulfed in flames. It was destroying the city. It was incredible. I escaped the city by using the waterways and staying low.

I would have made my way to your tribe hall then, but I owed it to my friends, Lugnut and Splugg to find them and rescue them. Ryak had mentioned an island, so I hired a boatsman to help me find my friends. It was only until a week ago that I was able to find my friends. They had escaped from the island and were staying at a resort up in Aszhara working as waiters! They said they’d not tried to find me because I’d been taken away to be hanged and they thought I was dead.

So, now I implore you to allow me to repay my debt to your guild. I have enclosed an application I found for your guild in Thunder Bluff.
1) State your name and any titles that you have earned, through service to the Horde in battle or otherwise
Fixxit Blastcutter - You may know me better by my gnome pseudonym, ‘Squigvicious’.
2) List your race and vocation, be it Undead Mage, Orc Hunter, or any other.
I am a goblin rogue.
3) Please introduce yourself to us, as much of your personal history as you feel comfortable sharing at this time.
I work for a small company that focuses on salvaging and repairing various things. When we heard that the market was going to be swayed greatly by the renowned market psychic, Plinket Whizzlegear, I decided to use my special talents to find out what I could do to make it more advantageous for the Horde, by finding out what the Alliance was up to that would cause the market to lean in their direction. I believe the rest is documented here on this totem ((Head’s up- general gossip)).
4) Tell us about any professions you have taken up, such as Tailoring or First Aid.
I am a master engineer, a gatherer of minerals, and an expert at dressing wounds. I have a knack for finding salvaged materials and turning them into useful items...such as bombs.
5) What are the Clans, Tribes, or Guilds that you have been a part of in the past, if any?
To fit in better in the Alliance community, I joined a guild called Deathbreed. I was forcibly removed from the guild when I found my new residency in the Stormwind Stockades.
6) Please describe what drew your interest in joining the Ironsong Tribe, and any memorable interactions you have had with members of Ironsong.
I first was acquainted the Ironsong Tribe when I was in Ironforge working on my engineering. There were shouts of ‘Attack’ and I went to see what was going on. (Being careful to hold up a flag of truce) I saw a bunch of Horde members, lead by a fierce tauren wearing your guild tabard. I heard one of the other members of the raid refer to him as Kretol. I thought that a guild that was that determined to go into the halls of the enemy and strike down their king with such ease would surely have the courage to face the news that needed to be delivered to the horde about the planned attacks. Anyway, they left Magni severely wounded and disappeared through a portal. Had it not been for the skilled healers, I believe that would have been the end of the Dwarven king. (But now, he’s dead anyway; I hear it was due to a misinterpretation of a spell. “One with the earth, indeed.” Hah!)
7) What is the greatest trial you have faced, either long ago, or in the recent past?
Well, being stuck in a gnome’s dead body ranks pretty high...no pun intended. But seriously, I did smell pretty rank after that experience. Escaping from Gilneas would be my greatest trial.
8) What are your current goals, or some of your greatest desires, and the reasons behind them?
My greatest desire would be to remove Ryak’s head from his shoulders. I think you can probably guess the reason.
9) What do you enjoy most in your adventures in Azeroth?
I would have to say blowing things up is what I enjoy most. It’s taken me quite some time to get my stock of bombs back to what they used to be after they were taken from my possession by that...well, I better not say...now all I need are my knives back....
10) Finally, have you read our Code of Conduct, and do you agree to abide by the rules stated in it? If so, please state so here in addition to a reply to the post itself.
I, Fixxit Blastcutter, swear to uphold and abide by the rules listed in the Ironsong Tribe’s Code of conduct. May I be strapped to ‘The big one’ and blown to smithereens if I do anything that goes against the Ironsong Tribe.

Hi. Mom, I mean Mula, said I should tell you guys a little bit about myself, even though I’ve already been accepted into the tribe. (Thank you very much, by the way!) I decided that the best way to do this was to fill out the application to the guild.

1) State your name and any titles that you have earned, through service to the Horde in battle or otherwise
Lucerra the Sunwalker, daughter of Mula Stronghoof.
I’ve got short brown hair, brown eyes, and light colored fur. Mom says I talk a lot. I’m going to be 15 next month ((December)) and mom’s sent me to train with the Tauren in Mulgore so that I can learn what it is to be a true warrior.
2) List your race and vocation, be it Undead Mage, Orc Hunter, or any other.
I am a Tauren Sunwalker. The Tauren druids said that I was a special kind of warrior. <shrugs>
3) Please introduce yourself to us, as much of your personal history as you feel comfortable sharing at this time.
I was born in the Crystalsong forest in Northrend at the rising of the sun. My mother and I travelled to the coast of Dragonblight and stayed with the Tuskarr when I was seven. We earned our keep and mom taught me how to fight. When I was thirteen we took a boat down to Kalimdor until we reached the desert of Tanaris, stopping along the coastline to restock our supplies. Mom talked to the dragons in the cave and we were teleported to the time that mom came from. Mom now says it has been about a year since she was trapped in the time that I was born.
4) Tell us about any professions you have taken up, such as Tailoring or First Aid.
I’ve can make simple bandages. I also like to draw and sculpt and make things with beads. I even made some armor for my kodo, Kron Kron, out of beads.
5) What are the Clans, Tribes, or Guilds that you have been a part of in the past, if any?
This is my first tribe.
6) Please describe what drew your interest in joining the Ironsong Tribe, and any memorable interactions you have had with members of Ironsong.
Mom says that the Ironsong Tribe fights for what is right, and she’s told me all about a lot of the members in the tribe. I think that the Ironsong Tribe fights for a noble cause and the member’s I’ve met so far have been really nice. I just hope that one day I can be as great a warrior as my mom and the members of the tribe that I’ve met, so far.
7) What is the greatest trial you have faced, either long ago, or in the recent past?
The trip on the boat to Kalimdor was very tough. It’s a good thing mom’s so good at catching fish! I think my own personal greatest trial, was fighting the mean wizard guy in Shadowfang Keep with some people whom I didn’t know very well. We had to retreat several times. But eventually, we were able to dodge past his magical barrage and knock him out. Mom says I was very brave for protecting the others from his damaging attacks.
8) What are your current goals, or some of your greatest desires, and the reasons behind them?
I want to be a great warrior like my mother.
9) What do you enjoy most in your adventures in Azeroth?
I like the goblins! They are very funny! And they make neat things! Like I saw this one goblin who had made a mechanical chicken. It was funny!
10) Finally, have you read our Code of Conduct, and do you agree to abide by the rules stated in it? If so, please state so here in addition to a reply to the post itself.
I have. I’ll follow the rules.

I am Torine of Mulgore. There are those who call me Guardian of Cenarius, in recognition of my tireless efforts in defense and preservation of this natural world; there are those who praise my efforts at the Argent Tournament, in recognition of my service to the cause and of my championing of each of the Horde's factions; there are those still who call me Kingslayer, for my small part in the final defeat of the Lich King himself and the setting right of the natural order.

But these accolades are unimportant, I am a Shaman of the Horde, and of the Tauren, and of the Elements, and of Azeroth and it is for these things that I live. Throughout all my life I have striven to defend and nurture and endure, and in many ways have I accomplished this goal. From an early age I have been in tune with the primal elements of the world, such is the gift of the ancestors and the legacy of my family. Earthmender Kaatorr and Plainsrunner Omeela were my parents, strong spirits and the best possible examples for my brother, Ultor, and me. From them we learned the ways of the world and saw enough of its majesty to ensure that we would forever serve it.
•
We two were born in the rolling green hills of Mulgore, sheltered and nurtured in its fertile lands. In those hills we were raised, and in that lake we swam, and in those mountains we prowled, and on those plains we roamed; In that place we became part of the earth and the earth, in turn, because a part of us. Our educations were fundamental in the beginning, as was natural. Fishing, hunting, cooking, first aid; survival skills for survivalists. Our parents were accustomed to training others in their ways and so children came as no considerable surprise. Quickly we chose our specialities, or perhaps they chose us; it is difficult to say with these things. Ultor became at home with the herds on the plain, with the stalwart kodo and the ferocious lion; I became at home with the land, with the roaring waters and the strong, silent earth.

Our parents saw the wild in us and were proud; they taught us the skills that had kept them connected to the civilized world in their own formative years and we developed further. I chose to learn at the feet of my mother; I, like she, had cultivated a great love of the growing things in the world and paired this with instruction in the art of the scribe. In this way I connected my elemental affinity with the world of words, and retained by civility. Being connected so intimately to the animal world, Ultor, like our father, bred a deep love of beast care and he learned to maintain and cull wild herds and craft fine goods from their hides.

As is the way of all things, however, this idyllic period could not last. When we came of age to wander the family struck out again, as had our parents alone before us. Seeking to introduce us to the true face of the world we would serve and to those threats we would face our parents took us many places; the lush jungle of Stranglethorn, the barren desert of Silithus, the majestic Alterac Mountains, the tranquility of the Moonglade, all these places and more. And then, to inscribe on our very souls the peril that we would need to surmount, we settled in what had become the Western Plaguelands. Ultor and I were immediately faced with the enormity of the scourge.

For years the four of us worked to bring balance back to the land. Ultor and I honed our combat prowess against the endless numbers of undead perversions and worse things in the darkness, elemental power and feral might. And in concert we ministered to the land and its inhabitants, bringing small comfort where we could, always setting right what was within our power to. And still the scourge corrupted. It was a dark day indeed when we met our match. The Death Knight who slew our courageous parents was what propelled us forward on our own journeys; I to dedicate myself to sustaining those whose might would force evil to submit, he to dedicate himself to become the bulwark behind which the vulnerable would be shielded. In service to the Horde we pledged to bring finality to the undead scourge for the sake of Azeroth herself, and so we did. And it was both that greatest of challenges and that most life-affirming of achievements as, with companions grown close over the months of hardship and struggle toward that icy pinnacle, through victory and defeat, we triumphed. There is no greater felicity than to assist those of worthy cause in the fulfillment of that goal.

And yet, as we climbed that spire we found a longing in our heart. Through camaraderie we did succeed, but when all was said and done were we to strike out alone, once again by ourselves? No. We knew that the time was right to join forces properly with the righteously aligned. We would always serve the land, just as we had in eradicating the scourge upon it, but from this day forth, for as long as necessary, we would do so with the company of those like us. Champions perhaps, but guardians always.

That was before. And then the very land itself was shattered. In this time of most cataclysmic upheaval there is no excuse for wasting the potential inherent in any living soul. If we are to pull through, to survive this onslaught on our very existence, then it must be through cooperation with our fellows, bearing arms against the would-be conquerer to reclaim what is not just ours, but what is the right of all those who lack the voice or the power to fight on.

And so it is that I, Torine of Mulgore, do petition your Tribe for membership, that together we might all overcome this more grave ordeal before us.
