Mok'ra, Tribe!

We are coming down the home stretch, now -- only two weeks until Mists comes out!

We've seen a lot of activity as old players return and new players join us!

Oryx and I have been on most evenings doing "bear runs" in Zul'Aman to get a bunch of people their bear mounts. It's a nice fast run: a speed clear of Zul'Aman gives an 85% chance of dropping one bear. We've gotten six bears so far. We tend to be online between about 7:30 to 9:30 or 10 almost every evening -- please join us!

The 10-man Dragon Soul run met with great success last week as we defeated Heroic Hagara and Heroic Ultraxion for the first time! This week we extended the raid timer and plan to attack the Heroic Gunship fight right away.

We've gotten a lot of interest the normal-mode Dragon Soul raid in the past few weeks. This is a switch from the previous 10 months when filling the raid took a fair amount of behind-the-scenes work Smile.

To accomodate the increased interest I would like to run a 25 man raid in Mists if we can. It's a big jump from 10 to 25, however, so I have set up a sign up sheet to see if we have the numbers to pull it off.

If you are interested in raiding normal-mode content with us in Mists, please read the Mists Raiding FAQ to understand what we expect of our raid members and how we run the raid. This raid is designed to satisfy the desire for challenge, progression and team play for those members who want to attempt the harder content and can commit to the regular attendance necessary for the group to succeed.

We run it as a rostered raid, with a set number of regulars who get invited first every week, and a small number of alternates who are invited to fill vacancies if a regular cannot come. We expect about 80% attendance of our regulars; as well as a high level of skill at the game, ability to follow orders, try new things, and learn from mistakes; and patience with wiping as we attempt new content.

The raid will run from 7:30 to 9:30 server time (occasionally as late as 10:30) on Thursday evenings, with an occasional second night on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 as needed. We will probably start running normal mode content after several weeks of LFR raiding, with the LFR raids functioning as an accelerating onramp heading toward the normal-mode content. We will use the LFR raid to bring our team together and start gearing up. A ballpark start date for the normal mode raid would be some time in November, but we will play this by ear.

If this sounds like the kind of thing you'd like to do, then please add your name to our Mists raiding sign up sheet!

If you are not interested in this level of commitment, that is totally fine -- there is no obligation to join this raid! There will be many opportunities to play with guildmates that do not require a regular commitment like this. We will be running an LFR raid on Tuesdays for as long as there is significant interest, and that's a raid you can jump into with no commitment and get to see all the content. There will also be fun challenge modes -- I'm really looking forward to those -- and scenarios, not to mention leveling up our new pandas and seeing all the new content together!

There are great days ahead!
