Ok, so I came across this, and as an artist who enjoys the Thursday updates of fan art, I was impressed!

Apparently there is a trading card/card game in the works. The company in charge of this has been updating their page everyday! It's quite impressive that they are doing this. But here's what I like about it, they have five pages of art . There are your usual artists, Samwise, for example. There are guest artists, Gabe from Penny Arcade made a "Leroy Jenkins" card! Hah hah... I digress, these things are visually amazing!

I used to feel much of the gear in WoW just didn't fit with the warcraft world. But looking at these cards really fleshes out the world in new ways. There are familiar characters, Chromie, Tooga, Thrall and so on. There are familiar spells, Aspect of the Eagle, Innervate. There are all kinds of visualizations of the lands of Azeroth. I think you will all be impressed! Go take a look, and scan through those picks!

The card game actually seems pretty sweet. There is even one gimmick that will probably be what draws some people to collect them: Legendary cards (cards with, you guessed it, orange text) will have passwords to get "cool stuff" in the online game, as well as being great cards for the card game. I'm not one for playing card games, but that sounds alluring in an of itself. Hee hee.

Hell the art seems to make these worth buying. Feel free to look at them.

Penny Arcade had a take on that particular gimmick. =)

I have zero (zilch, zippo, nada) interest in a CCG, but there's some nice stuff in that gallery. If only the game looked like some of that art does... /drool

Yea, it's pretty nice art. That's the only thing I enjoyed about card games: the art.
