My guess would be that druids will instantly revert to humanoid form upon death, I don't remember for certain, but I think that is how it is now...

I thought that they'll die in their shapeshift form, but when they release, their normal humanoid corpse appears.
I think I've died in moonkin form before. Might have been a glitch.
No, trust me- we die in form.
