Oh Sound, that made my day a little better. Apologies to Haida and other balance droods... Big Grin
I found this earlier and thought I'd share. : )

Details about the Druid Epic Flight-form Quest Chain.

Yeah... forever long.

Buuut!

Along with:

Swift Flight Form
* 308 mana
* Instant Cast
* Transforms the Druid into a flight form, increasing movement speed by 280% and allowing you to fly. Cannot use in combat. Can only use this form in Outland. The act of shapeshifting frees the caster of Polymorph and Movement Impairing effects.

We'll also be getting these two nifty trinkets too!

Charm of Swift Flight
* Binds when picked up
* Unique-Equipped
* Trinket
* Equip: Increases speed in Flight Form and Swift Flight Form by 10%

Idol of the Raven Goddess
* Binds when picked up
* Unique
* Relic Idol
* Equip: Increases the healing granted by the Tree of Life form aura by 20, adds 9 critical strike rating to the Leader of the Pack aura, and adds 9 spell critical strike rating to the Moonkin form aura.

Yay! Maybe?

Sounds lot like the hunter Lok quests, making you concentrate on certain aspects of your skills to win each fight, only you're not required to solo it all.
Aw, I was hoping they'd make the riding crop apply to flight form.
It is difficult to apply the riding crop to yourself when you are flying... Wink
Wow, that's going to be a looooot of flying around, heh. Doesn't look like it'll be too hard until heroic Setthek though.

Well, yes, that's why it would have been fun!

I have to say, though, I'm bummed we have to buy up the riding skill in order to get the epic flight form. That huge quest line to save the (relatively) minor cost of buying a mount doesn't seem that fantastic a bargain.

But the quests themselves look like fun!

You're not doing it to save the cost of the mount. You're doing it for the same reason I'm going to do the Netherdrake questline. Because you get to look cool flying around!!!!!
And for juicy cenarion rep. Yummmm!

Oh, and apparently the last raven boss you fight has a chance to drop an epic land mount, Reins of the Raven Lord I think it was called. Uniquely skinned mount based on the Raptor frame.
I agree, it isn't about the cost, it is about how sexy we would look!
Once you hit 70, having soloable quests is really, really nice. You're not only saving 200g, but you'll make a ton of cash doing all the steps Wink
Pictures of our epic flight-form! (I'm a tinsy bit obsessed with getting one, my apologies. :"> )
