After giving this some thought, I have come to a comclusion on how best to make your decision. Ignore the item rewards offered by the two factions, and look entirely at the shoulder enchantments and tradeskill related items. Each item they offer has an equivalent replacement, and I believe people will be happier in the long term with their choice if they follow this advice.
For the item rewards, if you have not seen this link it is a good place to compare. I suggest ignoring the advice at the top of the article though, as some of it is simply wrong.

Thanks for this suggestion! I was awed by and torn between the different items, since they're so much better than anything I've ever seen; it didn't occur to me that there are probably even *better* ones out there now.
Plus, I can handle comparing just the enchants to one another without having my brain explode.
I noticed that, as far as the crafting patterns go, the Aldor are all about FR and the Scryers are all about Arcane Resistance. Of course, every item is BOP :roll: so you're only making them for yourselves, but which one will be more important to the end-end-game?
Zuipol, the recipes are bind on pickup, but the armor itself is BoE.
