Using an umlaut is destruptive in that people who don't know by heart how to create every special character will have a hard time inviting you to parties/guilds/raids, will have a hard time whispering to you, etc.

=\

I don't need the rules quoted to me, thanks- I chose the name with some modicum of hope that its entirely unoffensive nature might keep me safe from the name Nazis of the realm. As it did for well over two years. I had a simple OOC macro that explained how to insert the umlaut and none of my friends ever had an issue with it. I'm not sure who could possibly have been disrupted by it- I still got plenty of whispers from beggars and spammers. And other than the disgusting over population of hunters at the time, I had no real issue finding a party.

If I reported every name I saw that violated the letter of the law, I would never get a chance to complete a quest.

I'm just pointing it out, so you can take it as you like. Don't get angry at me cause you got caught breaking the rules, no matter how benign you think it was. Going 5 miles over the speed limit is still speeding, and just cause a cop pulls you over doesn't make him a "law nazi."

If you want to be angry at someone, be a little more particular at who you're directing it toward s'all I'm saying.
Peace Ironsong, let there be peace between us...I should remind you that we are in this to support Eatmore in his/her endeavours to keep the name he/she chose.

I dont like to see discord among our tribemates...perhaps leave it at that and say nothing more?

Any word Eatmore?

It be he =P.

No word yet, worse comes to worse I'll just spell it different or I am currently looking up how you say eat more in Navajo, though Navajo uses alot of special characters from what I've noticed.
Yeah I thought last night that at least you could spell it Eetmore…

This wasn't a cop pulling me over for going five miles over the speed limit, this was the guy behind me calling the cops because I was going five miles over the speed limit and then following me for twenty miles relaying my position. And while I'm sitting on the side of the road handing over my license and registration having a dozen cars go tearing by going twice as fast.

I'm not angry about the rules, the rules make sense. I'm angry about the poor implementation of the rules that leaves us at the whims of petty folk who can't just mind their own business.
Thanks to this thread I refrained from reporting a guy named Ikillyou today. I figured, "Let him have fun! It could be an RP name like Eatmore!"
eat more in croatian is Jedi vise (the s is pronounced sh, as in "Shoot that Dorf!") take it or leave it. Or, as is perfectly fine in the language, you could put it backwards: Visejedi, or do the english phonetic Yedivishe or Visheyedi.

Keep up the fight. I always did worry though that my hunter would get reported though..
I know the Cree for eat more is Michisiw Suuhk, although that might be a little long for a name.
I be fixed! =)
Good to know, but did they correct the name change? Wink
I heard last night that you got your name changed back- awesome!
I locve what you did to get them to reverse the descision: show them your sign-up. Smile
