[A letter - slightly crumpled and clearly penned in haste - is deposited near the Tribal Totem by goblin post.]

Tribemates:

My kodo fell ill while in the wilds of Silithus, so I did not hear of this crisis until just now! I will join the search for Sreng as soon as I can.

((I need to get keyed, and will probably do that tonight. My computer died, so I've been using Amato's to read the forums and whatnot... hence the delay in knowing whether I'd be able to go. But my new one should be here by the time of the raid, so I should be good to go.))

As Lady Shandris Blazecaller was aproaching Lights Hope Chapel on her Dreadsteed Blazerunner she couldn't help but wonder at the materials that they had requested she didn't think they were all for the symbol that granted entrance to the scourges floating fortress but she supposed that the Dawn must need supplies for other battles with the scourge but never the less she had gathered all that they had asked of her. As she rode up into the Dawns encampment she dismounted and tied Blazerunners reins to a fence and withdrew the bundle of supplies from the saddlebag she then walked into the Chapel and handed Archmage Angela Dosantos the bundle and Said "Here are the Materials you requested Archmage." Angela then turned away and inspected them and then turned back and placed a mark on Lady Shadris' hand and said "If it tingles thats okay it just means that its working" Lady Shandris noded to her then went to leave to go prepare for the Assualt.

((now keyed and ready to go Smile ))
Dergash is keyed and ready.

Mynos is a very strong maybe, will have confirmation this evening.
These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Some day youll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you'll no longer burn
To be brothers in arms

Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
Ive watched all your suffering
As the battles raged higher
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms

Theres so many different worlds
So many differents suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Now the suns gone to hell
And the moons riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But its written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We are fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

(( Alas, I won't be able to attend. RL friends have something planned that I really don't want to miss. Have fun IST! ))
Jabadue is attuned and ready to go.

The Ironsong council was meeting to make battle plans around a large campfire outside the Lights Hope Camp as Uglawha tromped by. "Eruadan say Elf girl not around sis." He shrugged and continued on to his tent for some much needed rest.

"How strange...." Dispaya exclaimed. "Kosath...have you seen Faeriel lately?"

"Hmmm...not since two days past I think."

"That sounds unusual." She excused herself and went into the chapel. Eruadan was there and the orc girl Anca who was busily playing under a large table.

"Eru...have you seen Faeriel today?"

"Now that you mention it....no...not since yesterday I think. I assumed you had sent her on an errand."

"Not I...most usual...she was assigned to be here for healing duties while we prepare for the coming raid. I have not known her long...but I think it is not like her to ignore her assigned duties."

"I agree Farseer." Eruadan looked pensive.

Dispaya whirled and called out to Anca. "Come here small one...I need help with something..."

"Anca helps!" came a delighted exclamation as Anca scurried out from her "hidey place" beneath the table. Carelessly she dropped the small doll she was playing with as she bounded out into the chapel's light.

"You know the elf priestess called Faeriel?"

"Anca knows." She nodded.

"I need you to go and find her dear...if you see her ask her to report to me. Ask the others if anyone has seen her. When you get back...I will have a suprise for you!"

"Anca like suprise! I go...will find elfy girl. Don't worry!" With that she scampered off.

Dispaya called out behind her. "Anca...do not stray too far."
A short while later Anca returned.

"Anca no find Elf lady." she frowned. Dispaya traded concerned looks with Kosath and the other officers gathered there.

"BUT....Anca did find this!" The Orc girl looked very pleased with herself. She could not read well...but had learned enough letters to know she had found something important. She handed the open letter to Dispaya who read it hastily before handing it to Kosath.

"You have done very well!" Dispaya praised the girl and suddenly produced a Tigule and Foror's Strawberry Ice Cream from hehind Anca's ear. The Orc girl squealed with delight and grabbed the tasty treat then trotted away.

"What do you make of that Kosath?" Dispaya asked, but she already knew the answer.

The Tauren warrior dropped Faeriel's letter into the campfire.

"Trouble."

Faeriel awoke in a Dark chamber lit by a single magical lantern. Chains around her wrists connected her to a ceiling somehere above in the darkness.

Her arms were tired. They ached. She wanted to be home...in Silvermoon. But perhaps she was home. After all...her mother was here...and usually mother made everything all right.

"You are looking tired childe." Bellethiel whispered.

Faeriel nodded. "Oh yes...mother...please...let me down...let me...rest."

"Oh...of course my daughter. You will rest soon...but first...please tell mother all about what is going on at Light's Hope."

AMAZING NIGHT
Highlights from the Assault on Naxxramas

Dispaya's speech at Light's Hope:

Greetings to all. Today may seem like a grim day for our tribe...but we shall instead make it a GREAT day.

FOR FAR TOO LONG the WRETCHED Scourge have violated and polluted our lands!
They have killed and made slaves of our people!
They have attacked our cities!
They have ruined our lands!
NOW...they DARE to take away our friends and even our Warlord!
TODAY WE SAY...NO MORE!
To long have we stood by and allowed them to carry on their nefarious plans!
Too long have we allowed that monstrosity...the Citadel called Naxxramas...to occupy a place on our shores!
SO TODAY WE FIGHT!
WE FIGHT FOR OUR FAMILIES!
WE FIGHT FOR OUR TRIBES!
WE FIGHT FOR SRENG...FOR HE WHO GAVE US A PLACE IN A WORLD WHERE MANY OF US HAD NONE!
TODAY WE BRING HIM HOME!

SING TRUE IRONSONG!!!

Sreng was found in the Spider Chamber. He had been discarded and left for Spider food. He never did talk or tell the Scourge a thing. He never betrayed his tribe or people...but the cost was great.

NARRATION: This chamber is littered with many dead officials...perhaps the ones who were taken and who could not be made to talk were discarded here. Maybe someone you knew is among them.

You look into the webs before you. It is a scene of utter horror. Many are held here. Some are dead...others are barely alive. They appear to have been beaten and tortured to a degree too great to comprehend.

Among the prisoners...you see the ones you are searching for. Emmisaries of your people and leaders of your tribes.

Sreng is here as well....though right now we cannot tell if he is dead or alive.

The Battle is over....finally won!

Together the tribe gathers around Sreng. The Warlord yet lives...but he is broken and hurt.

Several tribe gather him up as Dispaya makes a portal to transport him back home. Once safely back to Orgrammar...Thrall's Shaman take him to a safe and unknown place.

There he will recover...but will he ever be the same?

A Brief Summary:

We began the raid by battling our way into the Plague wing. We first defeated Noth and got him on the first try....though the battle was very close. We next attempted Heigan but were not able to defeat him. I think no one could have been ready for "the gauntlet" of undead that guards Heigan...holy smokes...they were nasty. There is no time to recover or set up so it was very hard to explain battle tactics...a twist none of us were prepared for. He gave us a run...but I must say the tribe did well on the 3rd attempt. One or two more attempts and I think we may have beat him...but the leaders decided to move on so we could see a bit more before the night was over.

We moved to the Spider section for the next battle and defeated Anub.
We wiped 2 times but succeeded on the third attempt. It was in the spider chamber that Srengs body was found...barely alive. We also found another tribemate...the Priestess Faeriel...who had been wrapped into a spiderweb coccoon. Both were returned home safely. We will have to hear their stories in the coming days.

We last moved into the Abomination wing to wreak a bit more havok...this time against the insane Patchwerk. But first we had to get past a nasty pool of slimes...I lost count of how many times they wiped us...nasty little wretches...they may have been the worst of all...heehee.

Patchwerk went down on the second attempt. Everyone fought well but it was sad to say it was time to call it a night.

For a long time I have always wanted to run a combined RP and raid event. I am very proud of the way things turned out. Everyone seemed to have fun and we got many compliments from those outside the guild about what a great tribe we have. Every time they sent me a tell..I had to tell them...that is certainly true.

I want to thank everyone who made this event a success.

All my love and power

Dispaya
Farseer of Ironsong

PS: but wait...the story is not over yet...please post any epilogues below...
*Eruadan walks slowly toward the portal to Orgrimmar...grinning ever so slightly at the thought that his Warlord Sreng has been returned...and the young Priestess Faeriel, whom he has just recently met but has become somewhat fond of ensuring her training was going well, before she went missing.*

"Finally the battle is over..." he said to himself, grinning again.

*Eruadan began to walk the streets of Orgrimmar, heading towards the place where his Warlord and the Priestess rest. He summons a small ball of light which he begins to toss in his hand to keep his mind off the horrors he and his tribesmates had to face. He begins to break into a mad but joyous laughter*

"Hahahahaha...." he laughed, knowing that all those who entered the portal with him, have returned safely to their beds and loved ones.

*He then saw the hut where Sreng and Faeriel rest. His laughter stops, and his face becomes serious again. Concerned he is for his Warlord and the Priestess, both whom he would call 'friend'. He walks up to the door of the hut but he cannot bring himself to go in. 'They will need plenty of rest' he thought to himself. He sits next to the door with one of his knees up, tossing the ball of light in his hand to ease his mind. Slowly...slowly he drifts off to sleep, comforted knowing that he is safe within Orgrimmar. He catches the tiny ball of light for the final time which is then absorbed into his hand. There he rests, hoping for good news. There he rests in case they need him. There he dreams of spiders and undead...but with an army of friends to defend him*

((Awsome night, thank you everyone who came for making this happen it was truly a great event and everyone played their part well. Finally we got to see Naxx and it was a GOOD challenge. I hope their will be more events like this as it brings us all together to have a good time.))
Efluvious watched as Dispaya and the rest of the tribe transported Sreng to safety, and as the tribe as a whole filtered out, leaving behind the insanity, the horrors of true undeath. He felt pride: pride in his fellow ironsingers and pride in his brave warlord. But what Efluvious felt the greatest was relief. "Do's it be a dream? Was da voice just a nightmare?" he asked himself.

"A nightmare it is, one from which you will not wake. You will not leave this place. Puppet, you are to change."

Efluvious stood amidst the pools of vile slime. He lingered, he stayed.

((So, Efluvious is becoming a death knight in the expansion. That's what this is all about. I've always wanted to play a deathknight and was really disappointed when WoW did not have them as a class (WC2 deathknights ftw!). ))
