Is it patch day?!?!?!?!

Nope, from what I have been able to find out they are not doing patch 3.02 until next weeks maintenance.

I thought I read that Blizzard effectively announced it was going live on the 14th?

October 14 was my understanding too from what people have been saying in-game and on guild forums for about 3 or 4 weeks. I haven't seen any official threads/announcements on it though.

I hope it's next week so I can download it on nice dsl instead of crappy resnet

I hope everyone has been downloading their pre-patches segments....

Two things were officially announced, separately, that have led everyone to believe that it is Oct 14th:

1. The 3.0 patch will coincide with the end of the arena season.

2. The arena season is ending on Oct 14th.

So, while nobody has officially said "The 3.0 patch will be on Oct 14th," logically, its a safe assumption.
