Who's Online
There are currently no members online.

The tauren arrived at the guild hall, the moon was high, and the night was in its prime. She reigned in the painted kodo, and loosened the reigns, allowing it to graze. She slid off the back of the kodo, giving it a pat on the shoulder. "Thank you again for getting me here safely, Kronkers." She pulled a treat out of her pouch, and offered it to the great beast. The kodo took the offered carrot, engulfing it in its mouth. She ran her hand along its neck and gave it another pat. "Stay here, I'll be right back.

She walked up to the guild hall doors and pulled on the handle.

Lucerra jumped out of her skin and fell backwards, spilling the contents of one of her packs all over the ground.

Lucerra put her hands over her ears, trying to block out the noise. The door in front of her opened and she was looking up at Lucinther. He was muttering something about killing a goblin, then looked down at her and smirked.

WARNING! WARNING! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRU-A well-aimed throw of a knife, interrupted the alarm.

Lucerra removed her hands from her ears. "I wasn't expecting a surprise party!"

The forsaken smirked again, and disappeared back into the building.

She gathered her belongings and followed him in. Moments later, and without the bags, she came back through the doors, saying to the ones inside that she was going to put her kodo in the stables. She walked back over to the kodo unaware of the figure creeping towards her. "C'mon Kron Kron, time for bed," she said to the beast, her voice high and light. The beast sniffed at her pocket. She giggled. "You want another one? Well, ok." She reached into her pocket where she kept a carrot for such occasions. She reached into her pocket, and realized her hand was shaking. "Get a grip, Lucerra," she said to herself. "Can't let things like that get to you, you're gonna be 15 tomorrow. Won't do any good if you're still acting like a baby." She took a deep breath and ran her fingers along the kodo's neck. The kodo startled at her touch, and she stayed her hand. She knew immediately that it wasn't her touch that had startled the beast.

Then something hit her in the back of the head. She swayed on the spot, and everything went black.

The goblin awoke to the sound of his alarms going off. He quickly donned his black leather armor and went down to the main hall. The alarm stopped short, and Squigvicious wondered if he was going to be spending some time repairing it. The thought barely finished crossing his mind when he saw Lucinther coming right at him. The goblin began to back up, "What'z going on here?"

The forsaken grabbed him by the throat and slammed him against the wall. "Give me a reason why I shouldn't kill you, right now."

Squigvicious grabbed at the bony arm, "What...happ-kt?" He managed to choke out the words. He was at eye level with the rogue. His boots were dangling several feet above the ground.

Lailya came into the hall, cane in hand. "Please, put him down, Luc. What's going on?"

"You're not worth it." He let go of the goblin and turned away. "No more 'security alarms.'"

"What zet off zee alarm?" Squigvicious asked.

The forsaken ignored the question, going back to the corner.

"What did set of the alarm, Luc?" Lailya asked.

"Mula's daughter," he said. "Scared the life out of her."

"Was zhe wearing zee guild tabard? Zee alarm isn't zet to go off if zhe iz."

The undead turned around. He quickly walked to the front door, taking notice of the bags next to the doorway. He slid into the shadows and into the night. He saw the kodo, lying on the ground several spears protruding from its chest. He looked up and saw the silhouette of a black dragon with a rider flying off towards the south. There was something in its left claw...a body. The rider looked back for a moment, then kicked his heels into the dragon, urging it to go faster.

Lucinther cursed.
Lucinther ran into the large clearing next to the hall. Several months back, Skrap had helped him with setting up a large helicopter pad where several Tribe engineers kept their engineered flying machines. He looked between his helicopter and his rocket. He chose the rocket... speed was needed... and it wouldn't hurt to have someone else along for the ride. He smirked as he flew the craft back to the entrance. He tossed a helmet to Lailya, still smirking. " Let's go. We got a dragon to catch."

Lailya sighed, but took the helmet and put it on, adjusting it until it fit snugly, then hopped onto the seat behind Lucinther. This would certainly qualify as the strangest rescue she'd ever taken part in, but tribe was tribe after all, and you just didn't ask too many questions when family was in trouble.

"All right, let's get this over with," she said to the rogue. She sighed again. "And try not to get me killed."

The goblin took a moment to get his throat working correctly again. He followed after Lailya and Lucinther. Something caught the corner of his eye and he detoured over to the dead kodo. The sight was grisly. Not only were there spears sticking out of the beast, but upon closer inspection, there was something carved into the beast's flesh. The language didn't mean much to him. 'An'she nokwa' ((Any tauren would know that this translates to 'the dead sun.')) were the two words written. He pulled out a yellow crystal he'd gathered from Un'goro. The crystal had a natural luminescence which he used more often for locksmithing. He examined the ground near the kodo. There were many hoofprints and kodo prints. He saw no sign of human shaped prints.

He heard the sound of a rocket starting up, and looked up just in time to see Lailya climb up behind Lucinther. In no time, the were up in the air heading south. He looked back down at the kodo then at the flame of the rocked. He ran towards the helicopter area and jumped into his helicopter. After a moment of swearing pounding and tinkering, the helicopter came to life. He brought it up and headed south, urging the mechanical beast to go faster.

The tauren looked over his shoulder, once again, and urged the black dragon towards the southern barrens. He knew he'd wasted precious moments leaving his message. He would just have to lose them in the needles.
He flew the black dragon low over the southern barrens, changing directions several times. If anyone was following him, they would have a hard time keeping up. The tree line cut off abruptly and he saw the tell-tale protruding rocks jutting up into the sky. Far below, was the flood...and the bodies.

He took the dragon down, passing several of the needles and landing on a lower wider ones, the guards didn't salute him, as per his orders. There were several rope bridges connecting this one to several others, with more guards patrolling and various structures. He had landed on an open platform and dismounted the dragon.

Lucerra awoke. She almost wished that she hadn't. Her head was throbbing and when she opened her eyes, she was in the talons of a dragon. The dragon was flying over trees and she could see the thorns from a what she assumed was a quillboar encampment. The trees fell away and she was now looking strait down at a flooded chasm. Her stomach turned, at the sudden change of distance between her and the ground. She closed her eyes tightly until the sensation passed. Next thing she knew they were landing. The dragon tossed her unceremoniously onto the ground. She landed on her back and rolled to a stop. Her captor, a large black bull, had a red design painted on his face. It looked like a hammer against some kind of background...a dragon's wings? ((Anyone who's encountered the twilight hammer cultists would recognize it.)) His forearms were bare, with red tatoos on each arm. On his back he carried a scythe; its blade black and with red runes along the blade.

"Who are you? Why have you taken--"

He grabbed her by her tied wrists and jerked. She just managed to get her feet under her as he pulled. She didn't think he'd care one way or another if she walked or was dragged along behind her. They were walking along a rope bridge high above the dark water below. His hand gripped her wrists tightly, leaving no chance for escape.

They came upon a stone platform in the center of the next area. Runes encircled the platform, and were glowing brightly. He grabbed her by the waist with his other hand and tossed her up onto the platform, as if she were but a bag of grain. She slid a little, the surface slick with liquid. She turned her head and realized it was blood. The ground was also darkened by it, as well. She now realized that she was the next sacrificial victim, but for what? She was surrounded by cultists now, one at each limb, clamping manacles around her ankles and wrists. A robed priest came forward, shadows enveloping her, spoke in clear words:

"Cho'gall, accept this sacrifice and drink from her still-beating heart, so that you may grow strong from your enemies. Reaver, you may cut her open."

The black-furred bull stepped forward, drawing forth the scythe, its runes glowing, seemingly in anticipation for the kill.
Lucinther bailed from the rocket a few platforms away from where Lucerra had ended up. The rocket could still be controlled by the passenger, so there was no need for him to land it. His parachute opened and he glided down onto one of the needles full of guards. as he landed, his parachute fell over him, which he frantically tried to get off of him. Once an opening was found... he looked up. He smirked when he saw that he was surrounded by several cultists and their guards. still smirking, he looked at the nearest one and said, " So uh.... I'm a little lost.... anyone got a map?"
Lailya swore viciously in Thalassian when Lucinther suddenly bailed. She scrambled for the controls and shouted after the rogue, "A little warning next time would be nice!"

Grumbling, she turned the rocket to circle over the Twilight's Hammer encampment, trying to spot Lucerra through the darkness. "Come on, come on, where is she," the warlock muttered under her breath. She'd worry about the whys of this kidnapping later.

After a moment, she spotted the missing sunwalker, chained down to an altar covered in sickly glowing runes. She also spotted the tauren with the raised scythe.

Lailya facepalmed. "I am about to do something very stupid," she to herself. Grasping the rocket's controls firmly, she took a deep breath - and dove straight for the scythe-bearing cultist.

The one who called himself Reaver first heard then saw the rocket (with the very sharp point) coming right at him. He dove to the side, tucking and rolling and coming up. He swung his scythe in an arc, preparing for the next attack.

"Lailya!" Lucerra called out. "Watch out!"

The priest directed her spell at Lailya, ((Mind blast)) causing a sharp pain in her mind. She began to cast another spell.

Guards brought up their bows, and shot at the rocket, but missed horribly.
Lucinther dropped a handful of flash powder and vanished in the smoke. He sprinted across the bridge as quickly as he could ( rocket boots helping him along the way) over to where he saw the rocket land. He dove through the circle of guards, hitting the ground rolling. He came to his feet in front of Lailya, blades drawn.
Lailya gritted her teeth as the mind blast hit her, skidding the rocket to a halt and throwing herself to the ground in a roll to dodge the arrows. Hell's fire, that hurt! Priests knew some of the most sadistic spells ever cast.

Shaking her head as the pain began to fade, she rolled to her feet, cane leveled before her like a quarterstaff in one hand and an incinerate spell coalescing in the other. She whistled sharply, and with a burst of green hellfire, Shaathun stood next to his mistress, slavering in glee as he waited for the order to drain his enemies dry. Lailya bared her teeth in a nasty grin at the cultists as she stepped up beside Lucinther. "So," she drawled, "how are we doing this?"

" You get the priest... I got reaper boy over there." Lucinther smirked as he threw one of his throwing knives. The kinfe landed between the eyes of a guard who was about to loose an arrow towards them. "... one with the most guards wins..."
The grin that split Lailya's face was nightmare inducing. "Oh, goody," she said. With a flick of her wrist, her incinerate spell flew into the face of one the guards, and he fell to the ground screaming as Shaathun pounced, jaws tearing into him. Now seemed as good a time as any to indulge in a lose of inhibitions.

Lailya began to slowly advance through the guards toward the priest, sometimes felling them with curses or incinerates or shadowbolts, other times felling them with a sickening blow across the head or chest with her cane. There was a reason she'd made sure to have the thing made of a heavy, durable wood.

Zaevian had been flying around on Sylthian looking for new digsites and had been dosing to the rhythmic beat of his dragons wings when he was shaken back awake by the sounds of a battle nearby. Looking around he saw three familiar figures fighting off what looked like a group of cultists. "I wonder how they manage to get caught up in every mess under the sun.... Well Sylthian feel like a fight?" The dragon replied with a roar and entering a steep dive towards the platform.
