Anyone have experience running WoW on Linux?
I am thinking of redoing my machine from Vista.

Yes. I'm an Ubuntu fan, and I got it running /pretty/ well on Mellith's machine - there were some icon issues (Mark of the Wild buff might look like a fishing pole one minute, and then like arcane brillance a few minutes later, then back to normal three minutes after that), and we needed to make some tweaks to get the frame rate correct, such as switching the graphics from DirectX to OpenGL. We also cheated, though - we just copied the WoW folder over from our Windows partitions. I think it works better if you install off of CDs. WoWwiki and the WINE website both have excellent suggestions and tutorials. It's pretty damn easy to install, though.

If you don't want to mess around with WINE, you could also use something like VirtualBox to just create a Windows XP install running inside your machine.

I never got terribly satisfactory framerates on my machine, which was, I think, because it was an AMD 64.
