As I close in on 80, I'm starting to read up on strategies for shaman healing at the level cap. We have new talents and spells, we've lost downranking, we have lots of new glyphs, water shield was reworked, and our gear has a lot of stats that I'm not used to working with. What's a shaman to do?

So. My first pass through the EJ forums reveals these interesting threads and strategies:
1. Stack massive amounts of Intellect and Crit, and spam Lesser HW, counting on Improved Water Shield and Ancestral Awakening procs. Use Riptide on raid members when necessary. Make sure the tank always has Earth Shield to get the benefit of Glyph of Lesser Healing Wave.
2. Stack Haste and MP5, and spam chain heal. Keep a macro for instant Tidal Wave + Lesser HW for emergencies.
In either case, stacking Intellect is now one of our best gear choices. It gives a larger base pool, more crit, and more benefit from Replenishment.
