Something I've been using for a while that I highly recommend to others -

I personally find that Time-Warner Cable's DNS servers frequently go down - so that instead of getting Google, you get recursive RoadRunner search pages directing you to google.com - with OpenDNS, I never have this issue. I have also used it several times at work to fix people's computers that have DNS issues. It is always more reliable than their ISP's.
