Kolem's addon thread (was Kolem, the Addon Guru/Junkie)
#1
I get regular requests for information about what Addons I use for World of Warcraft, as well as questions about whether or not a mod exists to do certain things. In an effort to help those people that need this kind of information I have decided to create a thread specifically for my Addon addiction. This should help provide a nice central location that people can take a look at to help them in their quests for more and better addons. You can find a download link for a single file containing all the addons I use at the bottom of this post. I will also try to keep updating this post with the current state of my addons, as well as updating the single file containing all of my addons as often as I can.

I use four different addon sites primarily, along with the occasional specific site for some individual addons. Here are the main sites I use:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Category:Addons">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Category:Addons</a><!-- m -->
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/</a><!-- m -->
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://ui.worldofwar.net/">http://ui.worldofwar.net/</a><!-- m -->
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/index.php">http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/index.php</a><!-- m -->

Besides Addons I also use a couple of handy utilities for World of Warcraft. Here are the two I am presently using:

Burning crusade BC model view - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/5744/burning-crusade-bc-model-view/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... odel-view/</a><!-- m -->
This is the New WoW Model Viewer modified to handle the changed file structure since 2.0 came out. It is quite handy, and is where all those nifty animated forum avatars came from.

WowAceUpdater - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WinAceUpdater">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WinAceUpdater</a><!-- m -->
This is an addon updater for addons developed using the ACE libraries and hosted on <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com">http://www.wowace.com</a><!-- m --> . I run it on a daily basis, and love how easy it makes updating and downloading addons.

Detailed below you will find most of the individual addons that I use, as well as a download link to my current addons folder with ALL of my addons as they are right now.

Atlas - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/354/atlas/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/354/atlas/</a><!-- m -->
Atlas is a user interface addon for World of Warcraft that provides a number of additional maps as well as an in-game map browser. Typing the command '/atlas' or clicking the mini-map icon will open the Atlas window. Mainly I use Atlas for the instance maps and coupled with AtlasLoot for the various boss drops from instances.

Atlasloot Enhanced - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/2983/atlasloot-enhanced/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... -enhanced/</a><!-- m -->
An extension of Atlas that provides loot lists for everything ranging from Instance Boss drops to Outdoor World Boss drops to PVP Rewards to Faction Rewards. Be careful tho, because it lists items and has links for everything. If an item appears in the list that has never dropped on your server before, or been sold by a vendor, then trying to link it or view it will get you disconnected (thankfully Blizzard did the new Outland Tier 5 armor as Vendor items so they've all been seen on the server Smile ).

Auctioneer - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.auctioneeraddon.com/">http://www.auctioneeraddon.com/</a><!-- m -->
A comprehensive set of tools and addons for auction house data compilation as well as vendor pricing, profession references, and stack data. This one isn't for everyone, and unless you are an AH demon(ess) I wouldn't recommend using it. You can also download it bundled with other addons like Enchantrix and Swatter.

BankStatement - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/5590/bankstatement-wow-2-0/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... t-wow-2-0/</a><!-- m -->
This mod scans your bags and your bank inventory and then saves it locally on your computer. It does this for all of your characters whenever you visit the bank. You can then view your character's bank inventory anywhere around the world. You can also see what your Alts have in their bags/bank. Also keeps count of your total gold per account on the server. Access it using keybindings or /bankstatement. There are plenty of other addons that do this, but this is the one that I have found to be the most reliable for me.

BAssistFu - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/5493/bassistfu/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... bassistfu/</a><!-- m -->
BAssistFu adds an Assist target to the FuBar. You can click the FuBar entry while you have a friendly PC (or your pet) targetted and it will assign that as your MA. You also have the ability to assign a key binding to set your MA. If you assign your MA while you have nothing targeted, it will clear the setting.

Book of Crafts - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/1014/book-of-crafts/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... of-crafts/</a><!-- m -->
BookOfCrafts is a simple add-on which provide you with information regarding your other characters crafts. With it activated, whenever you display a recipe tooltips, it will list which character know this recipe already, which character may learn it now and which character will be able to learn it later.

BuyEmAll - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3586/buyemall/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... /buyemall/</a><!-- m -->
BuyEmAll enhances the shift-click interface at vendors. It allows you to buy more than just a stack at a time from vendors and is quite useful for when you need to say pickup 4 stacks of candles or seeds. Take note however that one of the persons I have suggested this addon to found it bugged for her, likely conflicting with another addon she was running that we were not able to determine the cause. I have used it successfully without error for at least 1 month now.

ChatLink - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/646/chatlink/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... /chatlink/</a><!-- m -->
One addon that I truly wish more people used. ChatLink enables linking items and enchants in private chat channels, by default it will not work in public channels such as General or Trade to avoid undue spam. Also, note that other people will need this addon to see your links in chat channels correctly. If they don't have the addon they will see a bunch of text that they won't understand in the slightest.

CT_MailMod - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ctmod.net">http://www.ctmod.net</a><!-- m -->
This is the only CT_Mod that I use any more, mainly because this one is simple, doesn't require any config, and has worked for more than 5 months without any real code changes. It simply adds a couple of functions to your Mailbox. One is the ability to open many mail messages at once and snag any loot attached in them, or just open ALL of your current mail messages, and the other is a mass mail feature which allows you to mail up to 21 items to one person without have to type their name, add the item, send, type their name, add the item, send over and over and over again. You just type their name, add the 21 items and it does the rest.

DamageMeters - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/567/damagemeters/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... agemeters/</a><!-- m -->
Ah yes, the ever valued DamageMeters. DamageMeters monitors damage and healing done by and to yourself and other nearby players. It keeps a running total for each player and displays the information as a bars chart in a frame on the screen. It is perfect for real-time comparison of the various members of your party or raid. At any time the text results can be output as "says", to raid or party chat, or whispered to another player. Many console commands exist for customizing the meters: type /dmhelp for a listing.

HideGryphons - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.dualsync.com/tmp/addons/HideGryphons.zip">http://www.dualsync.com/tmp/addons/HideGryphons.zip</a><!-- m -->
This is a VERY simple addon that I wrote to hide the gryphons that appear to the left and right of the main bar in the default Blizzard interface.

ItemRack - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/1482/itemrack/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... /itemrack/</a><!-- m -->
I don't know how I would have gotten through MC without this little gem. This is a mod to make swapping equipment easier. You add equipment slots to a bar and mouseover on the bar will create a menu of all items in your bags that can go in that slot. Recently I have been contemplating trying to find a new addon to replace this one, as it looks like Gello isn't really updating it much lately.

KLHThreatMeter - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/4204/klhthreatmeter/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... reatmeter/</a><!-- m -->
KLHThreatMeter monitors and records your threat, and will list your threat in a table with other members of your party or raid group who are using the mod. Most class talents, abilities, and items that cause or modify threat are taken into account. There is a table for your personal threat contribution, broken into specific categories such as white damage, healing, mana gain, etc, and specific abilities such as Sunder Armor and Taunt. Supremely popular, and I have been using the 19.3 version listed under the beta tab for a while now and love it.

MetaHud - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3784/metahud/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... 4/metahud/</a><!-- m -->
I will be the first to admit that HUD addons are not for everyone. They can really make your desktop seem cluttered. What's a HUD? Well, a Heads Up Display in this reference is an addon that places information immediately around the center of your screen. Usually to the left and right of your character image when playing in 3rd person camera view. It provides information about a variety of things, such as health, mana/rage/energy, combo points, casting progress, target health and mana/rage/energy, etc, all in the center of your screen so that you don't have to look away in a corner or off to the side of your screen to find such things. They take some getting used to if you've never seen one before, but they can be QUITE useful.

MobInfo/MobHealth - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/1349/mobinfo-2-includes-mobhealth/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... mobhealth/</a><!-- m -->
MobInfo is an AddOn that provides you with useful additional information about Mobs (ie. opponents/monsters). It adds new information to the game's Tooltip whenever you hover with your mouse over a mob. It also adds a numeric display of the Mobs health and mana (current and max) to the Mob target frame. MobInfo collects data whenever you fight a Mob. It starts off with an empty database, which fills up automatically the more you fight and play. The data it collects is used for enhancing the game tooltip and the game target frame. Very handy for seeing just how much health a target has left numerically.

MonkeyMods - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.toctastic.net/index.php/?page_id=3">http://www.toctastic.net/index.php/?page_id=3</a><!-- m -->
MonkeyMods for World of WarCraft were made to be small and independant of other mods. So far there are 4 mods. MonkeyBuddy is a config window for the other MonkeyMods. MonkeyQuest is a feature packed Quest Frame. MonkeyClock is your standard Telo’s Clock hack, minus the tool tip info. MonkeySpeed is a simple speedometer. All the MonkeyMods except MonkeyBuddy save variables on a per character per realm basis. I really only use MonkeyQuest and MonkeyBuddy, but the other two are kinda nifty as well.

Morganti's Buffbars - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3847/morgantis-buffbars/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... -buffbars/</a><!-- m -->
Enhanced Buff, Debuff, and Weapon buffs in separate moveable and resizable bars. This is one of those mods that you will either love or hate. Admittedly it has been buggy in the past, but the author is very good about fixing bugs as quickly as possible, and though it might look really wierd at first when you see what it the default configuration for the buffbar is, I highly recommend playing around with the many options it has before passing judgement on it.

Notes - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3628/notes/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... 628/notes/</a><!-- m -->
Notes keeps track of notes in an easy-to-use GUI. You can print notes to various places like chat windows, whispers, etc. Notes can be timed so that they don't just instaspam a window. They can be organized in a directory like system called "Books". Notes marked as "sync" will synchronize notes that are printed with your target audience. The Import/Export features aren't really working right now, but if you know anything about where the SavedVariable files are on your computer you can share the information saved with other people handily enough.

Omni Cooldown Count - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/2775/omnicc/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... 75/omnicc/</a><!-- m -->
OmniCC is a universal cooldown count plugin. Anything that uses the default functions for cooldown models should have a cooldown count added with this addon, including the default blizzard action bars, your inventory, and the character sheet.

Rating Buster - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/4991/rating-buster/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... ng-buster/</a><!-- m -->
The Burning Crusade introduces a new stat called Combat Ratings. These ratings are being used for any combat stat that previously was percentage-based such as: critical strike chance, hit chance, dodge chance and defense skill. Unlike fixed percentages such as 2% critical strike chance, combat ratings diminish in potency as your character increases in level. 2% crit is the same at every level, while 28 critical strike rating grants 4% crit at level 34, 2% crit at level 60, and 1.27% crit at level 70. (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowwiki.com/Combat_Rating">http://www.wowwiki.com/Combat_Rating</a><!-- m -->) These ratings can be a pain when you want to compare 2 different items, is 30 hit rating better or 20 crit rating? Rating Buster is an Ace2 addon that converts combat ratings in your tooltips into percentages so that you can see exactly what +11 critical strike will do for you at your level.

SuperInspect - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/5992/superinspect-smurfy/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... ct-smurfy/</a><!-- m -->
SuperInspect is an addon that lets you hot key inspecting someone as well as continue inspecting said person even after they move out of range of you. It can also provide totals on all their gear information (such as how much +stam they have in their current gear), but to be honest, the calculations on this are usually incorrect as it doesn't always factor in what enchants are on said pieces of gear or what set bonuses they are actually gettting. Still, it's handy being able to inspect someone and then just walk away still browsing over what all nifty loot they had.

TankBuddy - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/5006/tank-buddy/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... ank-buddy/</a><!-- m -->
(NOTE: This addon may or may not be working properly at the moment, I've been having a problem with it not always performing actions when activating abilities since the recent patch.) Tank Buddy is based on Taunt Buddy by Artun Subasi. It is an addon that can announce to any channel of choice, whenever your taunt, mocking blow or growl (druids) fails, or whenever you use shield wall, last stand, challenging shout, challenging roar (druids) or lifegiving gem. Furthermore, it can remove any buffs desired, either always, or only in defensive stance/bear form. To open the menu, just type /tb or /tankbuddy. Note! Using Taunt Buddy simultaneously with Tank Buddy, might produce unwanted results!

WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3921/wim-wow-instant-messenger/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... messenger/</a><!-- m -->
Absolutely one of the best addons I use. WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) is exactly what its called. It is an instant messenger interface for your in game whispers. It was specially designed to not interfere with your busy interface (when in raids) but also to have the convenience of having a chat window for each user that you communicate with. NOTE: I have found a bug when trying to link items from places like LootLink or AtlasLoot it can end up causing a disconnect, BUT if I do a /r and link the items in the chatbox line that appears below the normal chat window instead of in the WIM window everything works beautifully Smile

X-Perl Unit Frames - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3416/x-perl-unitframes/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... nitframes/</a><!-- m -->
X-Perl is a unit frames addon that is based on the original Nymbia's Perl Unit Frames. There is literally SO much going on with this addon that there is no way I could do it justice. It has a TON of functionality, things like Customizable Player, Target & Party Unit frames. It also has Raid frames, MT Frames (compatible with CTRA and oRA), Buff and Debuff highlighting, and so much more. A couple of other points to make, this addon is HUGE in it's options list, take your time, go through the options and check things out, don't be intimidated Smile Lastly, this addon might very well be more than you need. There are several different varieties of Perl Unit Frames out there, one of them will surely work for you if want some added customization to your Unit Frames.

ACE2 Specific Addons - These addons are ones snagged from <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Category:Addons">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Category:Addons</a><!-- m --> and updated through the WowAceUpdater. Getting these addons for the first time is handled easier through the direct access files link <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/files/">http://www.wowace.com/files/</a><!-- m --> rather than their individual page links:

AllPlayed - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/AllPlayed">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/AllPlayed</a><!-- m -->
AllPlayed displays the total time played, rested XP and money for each of your WoW characters. It's just a snapshot of the current state, no history, no stats. You can look at the total time you have played WoW and be proud (or afraid ;-)).

AutoBar and Config - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/AutoBar">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/AutoBar</a><!-- m --> & <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://files.wowace.com/AutoBarConfig/">http://files.wowace.com/AutoBarConfig/</a><!-- m -->
AutoBar provides a configurable set of 24 slots that automatically display items in your inventory for easy use. You can assign hot keys to a slot. Each slot can be customized to have whatever you want in it. You can have specific items smart selfcast if your target is not valid. Slots with multiple items in your bags can have a popup list of the items to choose from. Don't get me wrong, this addon has had it's fair share of bugs, but I have LOVED using this addon, even through the bugs and it has saved me SOOOOO much action bar space.

BananaBar2 - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/BananaBar2">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/BananaBar2</a><!-- m -->
This addon has changed recently, "expanding it's functionality", providing a few things that really, at least in my opinion, it doesn't need. Really tho, the core of the addon is still there, which is to provide an easy button bar method of assigning Target Icons in a Raid or Party. I have used this addon very handily during our AQ20 runs, and constantly when grouped up with people. If you decide to pick it up, make a little raid group with yourself and someone else and run through the config options on the minimap button, I'm sure you will need to disable one or two things that you don't like.

BigWigs - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/BigWigs">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/BigWigs</a><!-- m -->
BigWigs is a boss alert mod. It consists of many individual "boss modules", mini addons that are designed to trigger alert messages and timer bars for one specific raid boss each. Modules are activated when you target or mouseover a Boss, or if any other BigWigs use in your raid does. In most cases only one module will be running at any given time. When used in conjuction with oRA2 this can easily replace most of the functionality within CTRA, which has a tendancy to be buggy or cause problems with other addons in my experience. Really tho, you don't need this unless you are a Raid Leader or a Raid Assist.

Cartographer and it's many plugins - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Cartographer">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Cartographer</a><!-- m -->
Cartographer is a modular, lightweight, and efficient framework for manipulation of the world map. It allows you to see the entire map, not just the areas you've explored. It contains instance maps, coordinate reference, note options, and the ability to customize much of the look and feel of your map. There are also gatherer plugins for things like herbalism and mining, as well as automatic note plugins for locations of quest givers and vendors that you speak to. I highly recommend that if you use the quest giver or vendor plgins that you disable the minimap highlighting however, since it can get quite cluttered when walking through a city.

ColaLight - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://files.wowace.com/ColaLight/">http://files.wowace.com/ColaLight/</a><!-- m -->
This simple little addon keeps track of how much vendors pay for things that you would sell them. Very handy when running around picking up gray loot and you want to know if said items are worth the very valuable bag space that they are taking up.

Cosplay - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://files.wowace.com/Cosplay/">http://files.wowace.com/Cosplay/</a><!-- m -->
Don't get the wrong idea here, this addon isn't about crazy little japanese people running around in elaborate costumes. This is a very simple addon which adds a couple of buttons to the dressing room window of WoW. One is an undress button to remove your current gear from the window without actually having to strip down. The other button is a target button which allows you to target someone and then use their character in your dressing room window. Why would you want to do that you ask? Well, if you are like me you have multiple characters each of a different race. If I'm playing my Tauren and a cool robe drops that might look good on my Blood Elf I can just target a BElf and pop the robe up on them to see just how spiffy or unspiffy it really is Smile

EQCompare - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://files.wowace.com/EQCompare/">http://files.wowace.com/EQCompare/</a><!-- m -->
EQCompare is an ACE2 version of EquipCompare which basically shows what you are wearing currently in specific slots when viewing links or hovering over items in your inventory. It really helps when trying to determine if a robe in the AH will actually be an upgrade for you when you can see side by side what the stats are without having to go back and forth between your character sheet and the AH window.

FuBar and more Fubar Plugins than I can list - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/FuBar">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/FuBar</a><!-- m -->
FuBar is a panel system that is used to create little bars, usually at the top and bottom of your screen, for displaying of information and accessing addons and functions. I highly recommend looking through the MANY FuBar plugins available on wowace.com for everything that you can do with this addon. Why not use Titan you ask, which does the same thing? Well, to be honest, Titan broke for me when WoW 2.0 came out, and FuBar got updated first. Since it is part of the ACE2 code base and can be easily updated with the WoWAceUpdater I have seen no reason to go back to FuBar. One thing to be careful of, not all FuBar Plugin authors keep their code updated, so you can run into problems where errors popup after installing certain plugins. Usually it's best to not continue to run with those plugins and just try to find another that will do what you want.

MountMe - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/MountMe">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/MountMe</a><!-- m -->
MountMe Is an all-in-one mount and travel form mod. It can select a random mount if more than one is available, use Paladin and Warlock mounts as well as travel forms and speed auras, Auto-dismount and Deshift when needed, Removal of AotC/AotP when "Dazed", and Automatic equip/unequip of mount speed enhancing items. Really it's quite a handy mod to have, and needs virtually no configuration to run.

oRA2 - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/ORA2">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/ORA2</a><!-- m -->
oRA2 is a lightweight CTRA replacement. It contains everything a raider needs apart from raidframes. It is fully compatible with the messages CTRA sends. I've been using this for more than a month now and am quite happy with it. I never experienced any issues with it in our AQ, MC or ZG runs and often found it to run smoother than when I was running CTRA. The big thing that I like about it is that it doesn't have a whole ton of features I don't use like CTRA did. You can find a side by side comparison of it's feature sets with CTRA's on the url above. Just for reference, if you run X-Perl which also has an MT window system you can disable oRAs by setting the number of MTs in the oRA options to 0.

RaidAgent - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/RaidAgent">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/RaidAgent</a><!-- m -->
RaidAgent is a handy little addon, but really it shines when more people in the raid have it installed. It breaks down information about the raid composition into a quick and easy to read layout. If you have RaidAgent installed it will also share with other RaidAgent users what kind of special assets you have for the raid adding that to the Raid Information, such as how many druids have Tree of Life or Moonkin, or which hunters have TrueShot Aura, etc. It can also be used for promoting/demoting, setting Raid Leader and setting Master Looter.

RainbowEnchants - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://files.wowace.com/RainbowEnchants/">http://files.wowace.com/RainbowEnchants/</a><!-- m -->
This addon highlight colors enchants on items so that you can once again see what you have enchanted and what you don't. Truth be told, it is a little buggy. I've seen it highlight things that were not enchants, but for me it has been something I can deal with. I'm still kindof irked that Blizzard took out enchantment highlighting, and I hope that they decide to put that back in.

RightWing - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/RightWing">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/RightWing</a><!-- m -->
This is a simple addon that allows you to right click spells and have the spell target you instead of your current target.

SacredBuff - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/SacredBuff">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/SacredBuff</a><!-- m --> | <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://wow.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/3003/sacredbuff/">http://wow.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... acredbuff/</a><!-- m -->
This is a priest buff addon rekindled and written under ACE2. Essentially, it is a radial button bar for many things related to priests. It's main purpose is to clear up some space on your action bars. This is another one of those addons that you will either love or hate. I've only been using it for a little more than a week now, on my Blood Elf, but I'm getting used to it and think I will prolly be keeping it.

TinyTip and Options - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/TinyTip">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/TinyTip</a><!-- m --> & <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://files.wowace.com/TinyTipOptions/">http://files.wowace.com/TinyTipOptions/</a><!-- m -->
TinyTip changes the look of your GameTooltip. It has several features: Name, backdrop, and border (optional) colouring by reaction (Hostile, Friendly, etc.), Classes coloured with raid colours, Level coloured by difficulty, Creature Type (Imp, Cat) given for Pets, UnitClassification (Humanoid, Undead, etc.) given for NPCs, Elite Status (Elite, Rare, WorldBoss, Rare Elite) added when applicable, (Tapped) for Tapped, (Corpse) for Corpse, Optional Guild Names displayed, Optional backdrop coloring for friends and guildies, Optional Honor Rank Name or Number, Optional Compact Tooltip mode and more. It can also provide tooltip placement functionality for several different types of tooltips. IE, you can have your creature tooltips display attached to your mouse cursor, but spell description tooltips display in the corner as normal. I've messed around with several different tooltip mods out there, and this is by far the easiest to use for the amount of functionality that you get out of it.

WitchHunt - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WitchHunt">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WitchHunt</a><!-- m -->
WitchHunt is an Ace'd version of the popular spellalert. It is still in the development phases, and I highly recommend that you /wh when you get it installed so that you can play around with it's config. It's pretty handy when fighting to get alerts about things popping up in the combat log that you likely missed because of the massive amount of text that streams through there.

XRS - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/XRS">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/XRS</a><!-- m -->
XRS is a Raid Status addon which, once setup, can tell you how many people in the raid have specified buffs (mousing over the icon tells you who needs them), how many people are alive/dead, who is flagged for PvP, as well as provide bars with overall raid health and mana for specified classes. If you are a Raid Leader or Assist you can also report to the raid who is missing what Raid Buffs. Just remember when you first install this addon tho, you have to be in a raid to configure it, and you have to configure it with what you want to display as it has no default configuration profile really.

YATA - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Yata">http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Yata</a><!-- m -->
Yet Another Totem Addon is just that, another shammy addon for managing and dropping totems easily without taking up 25 action bar slots. It works very much like Call of Elements and the other addons out there. I use it over those however because the author seems to be very active on it and it updates easily with the WoWAceUpdater.

And here is the promised link to the archive of my addons folder, it is a 20meg download, so if you are on dialup it might take a bit:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.dualsync.com/tmp/addons/AddOns.zip">http://www.dualsync.com/tmp/addons/AddOns.zip</a><!-- m -->

I also have a bit of advice for anyone kinda new to addons and mods. It is a very good idea when updating an addon to delete the folders in your interface/addons directory that relate to the addon you are updating before you install a new version. Sometimes authors will remove files no longer needed that could cause issues with said addon if they remain after updating. Also, if you update an addon and start getting errors, check the site you downloaded the addon from. Sometimes other users will post information about the error before the author can update and fix the problem. Also, when upgrading an addon you might want to reset it's default options and reconfigure it. This might entail going into your SavedVariables folders and deleting the files pertaining to said addon, but it has helped in the past to fix errors that the author might have missed. And finally, read any change notes that authors post in the place you download an addon from. They can sometimes include information important to updating their addon.

That's about it, good luck, and happy modding Smile

Evaluating SlashCommand - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/1426/slashcommand/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... shcommand/</a><!-- m -->
An interesting little mod that allows you to make custom /commands, kinda like a macro system... I did not include it in the addons.zip file as of yet because I'm still evaluating it...

Updates Today - 1-29-06:

- AtlasLoot Enhanced (still not working with linking items into a WIM window, don't try it Smile, most likely a problem with WIM) - Currently I would recommend grabbing AtlasLoot from <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.daviesh.net/atlasloot_enhanced/">http://www.daviesh.net/atlasloot_enhanced/</a><!-- m --> as curse's main file mirror seems to be tossing back bad zip files often
- Morganti's Buff Bars - Curse is kicking back bad zip on this one too right now, hopefully it gets corrected soon as the author is only updating curse lately
- AllPlayed
- AutoBar
- BigWigs
- Cartographer (lots of the Cartographer plugins got updated too)
- Fubar MoneyFu
- oRA2

Okay, it's official, MountMe is broken. A couple people mentioned issues with it, and they caught up to me as well. Apparently it has to do with one of the lib frameworks it uses, but now the author is no longer updating through the WoWAceUpdater, and apparently isn't updating his libs properly, thus when another addon uses an updated lib MountMe tosses errors. Thus I have gone back to using EzDismount and SimpleMountEquip.

So, changes today:

Removed MountMe
Added EzDismount - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/1672/ezdismount/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... zdismount/</a><!-- m -->
Added SimpleMountEquip - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/details/5162/simplemountequip/">http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/files/de ... ountequip/</a><!-- m -->

There were also more ACE Addon updates than I can count today, seriously, run the WoWAceUpdater for ease of updating, or just snag my AddOns.zip file.

Other news; I've canned BuffWatch and SlashCommand, although I might go back to them in the future I'm not finding them especially useful right now.

I am working with ShamanAid - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=2417">http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=2417</a><!-- m --> right now to see if I can customize it to be a little more functional. It's a pretty basic addon that could be great with just a couple tweaks...

Updates for 1-31:

BookOfCrafts
AutoBar
BigWigs
Cartographer
Cartographer - Fishing
Cartographer - Herbalism
Cartographer - Quests
FuBar - LocationFu
Yata

Added FriendShare Resurrection - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www-en.curse-gaming.com/files/details/5568/friendsshare-resurrection/">http://www-en.curse-gaming.com/files/de ... urrection/</a><!-- m -->
A Highly useful addon for sharing friends lists automatically between alts. Previously it had a helluva bug that caused your friends list to become corrupted and spewed all kinds of spam in the chat log, but it looks like the author may have gotten that all fixed...

I'm also using Saeris' LootLink - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info5608-SaerissLootLink.html">http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/i ... tLink.html</a><!-- m -->
but I haven't been adding it to my AddOns.zip file because I don't want to confuse people. This is not the original LootLink by Telo. This is a user customized version that still works in 2.01, which is when Telo's broke. I'm not certain if Telo has updated at all recently because he is no longer posting on UI sites, that I can find anyway.

Anyone that downloaded my AddOns.zip should go in and remove the DevTools addon from your interface folder. I accidentally included one of my dev addons in there and trust me when I say you don't want to see it Smile

Given that I've never had to pay much attention to buff timers until now... any recommendations on pallie buff timers? I'm using buffwatch and its very nice except for the fact that it doesn't keep track of how much time is left on a buff - only who has it or doesn't.

The problem is that you can't keep track of events like disconnects or group member changes very well, so keep track of time remaining on buffs that players have is a little cumbersome... You might be able to use an addon like SpellWatch (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/files/details/2958/spellwatch/">http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/files/de ... pellwatch/</a><!-- m -->) but I'm really not sure as I just rely on my party to tell me if their buffs have only a little time left or BuffWatch for when their buffs disappear...

I'll dive into the Blizzard API to see if there's anything I might be able to come up with to help you out here...
