Interguild Event Help
#1
Hey everyone. None of you know me, but I am Captain Dloin Steeleye of the Alliance Guild known as the Pirates of Khaz Modan.

We are currently in the planning stages for the first in a series of RP Events, and we need your help. In this event, the pirates will need to escort an escaped prisoner from Theramore to Ratchet along the road, and I would love for them to be ambushed along the way!

Basically, I'm looking for multiple members of your guild who are interested in a little PvP, but not heavy PvP. This should be hard, but not impossible, for the pirates who are running the event. I would like for mainly characters between levels 35 and 50, but also a few under and a few over those numbers as well.

Please let me know if you're interested!

I've got a busy week ahead of me, but it sound interesting enough. I guess I'd also be curious as to /why/ we're attacking these guys. What did the prisoner do to us that makes him so heinous? My only character close to that range wouldn't kill without a decent reason.

Hmmm,

Or perhaps we don't really think this person should be a prisoner....

Well thanks for the reponses.

To answer the questions:

The Horde knows that this character is in possession of some important item (the nature of which has yet to be determined. Again, this is still preliminary), a relic or artifact of some sort. Some group of the Horde wants this for themselves. Again, the overall plot is still being developed.

Also, I'd like for a minimum of 5 characters. There should be about three ambushes total, and if the Horde characters are able to move from one designated location to another, then we don't need as many characters. But, yeah, 5-8 or 9, again, at a range of levels.

And remember, this is an RP event for my guild, the Pirates of Khaz Modan, so I apologize if I haven't fleshed out the antagonists' side of the story.

Again, thanks for the reponses!

seems to go a bit against many of the characters of IST

Perhaps. I was just advised to come here because I was told you were a large guild that enjoyed helping out in both RP and PvP situations.

no, its cool. As you said you haven't flushed out the antagonists storyline. My suggestion would be that the item is important to us not for greed reasons, but for a general betterment of either faction/guild. Or we can just be your DM tools and be 'evil hordies'!

Of course, the nature of much of the conflict between Horde and Alliance is due to misunderstandings or deceptions. What if one side or the other is acting on flawed information? The (filthy) humans think this is an item to save the world, but the Orcish Shamans know the true secret! Of course, from the Alliance perspective, the (smelly) Nelven elders have told that this is a powerful item to summon the Raging Bear (who their druids will control) in order to fight Arthas.

Seekritly, the dreams sent to the Shamans and the Druids were stealthily implanted in key people by agents of the Lich King, who has his own spies who shall seize the Orb once it's Keeper has been freed by the duped Pirates, or if the Horde gets it, their Burning Blade agent in Orgrimmar will seize it from the Vault... yessssss...

Or something. Just an idea.

I agree with that suggestion. Greed =/= IST

Also, Hordies are not evil dangit, Efluvious! Uh, well, maybe those undead are...like Efluvious <flees>

Not sure how sticking a fist in the eye of some humans goes against IST principles Wink

Dloin, I think if you post a day/time, your problem will be having too /many/ of us, heh. Feel free to be as specific to requirements as you want to be - most of us have a slew of alts. One suggestion to make things more exciting for your guys would be to have some of us bring higher level characters, and just use poor gear or lower-ranked spells. A 60 warrior would be pretty scary to the pirates if they don't know he's using a level 15 grey sword :p A rank1 flamestrike looks just as impressive as a max rank one Wink

Or we could probably bust out lowbies, and provide a big frigging swarm of level 15-25 enemies.

I call Boss Encounter.

Come on. 70 Feral Druid in full tanking gear. I won't even fight back! I just want to see how long it takes them to kill me. Assuming I can make it, anyway...

I have a level 38 non-IST mageling who would gladly attack a group of people for... well, pretty much any reason, really. She's really squishy and I'm not the world's greatest mage, though, so she's unlikely to be much of a threat.

(She would, however, totally be the kind of enemy to teleport out at the last second and leave a level 70 bear in her place, just to mess with people.)
